Child run into side of my car causing damage + small claims court

As someone else pointed out further up the thread - the OP could possibly make a claim against the kid for the damage the kid did that would be payed by the parents' home insurance.
Alternatively, a claim against the parents for not properly supervising their 'little darling'.

For those saying the OP hit the child - the child hit his car. As the parents were at the scene the child was, presumably under their supervision - it's appropriate that they should be held responsible for failing in their duty of care.0 -
The parent is for sure a chav and should at least offer to pay something. With that said, it's less than £200. I don't know you personal situation and as mentioned before, the parent should definitely pay something, but something is telling me that you can easily pay this and avoid the drama of court.0
