Our lidl has kilo packs for £1.09 and - while it's a bit hit and miss - they're more like really lean gammon.

Pleased with this as (a) it was a 5-week month and (b) I had a large online shop in Week 5 when I stocked up on heavy/bulky long shelf-life items, so a good start for November. Should just need fresh items, nothing for store cupboards and still plenty in the freezer, although it is going down a little bit. "See" you tomorrow in November for more frugalling! Added up October and I spent £240.92 incl a susbcribe and save at Amazon. That is loo roll, which I normlly afd with toiletires to helth and beauty budget. I want to know exactly wht I spend just on food. I still think it's alot and will aim to get it doen further in the N Y.
