Ssm support worker. One of them I used to support had to go in as a day patient for it a few years ago. We just support folk to wherever they want to go or do

I would be steering them to the pub! x

    Good morning all,

-1lb this week, totally undeserved though - working a 12 hour day most days so really suffering with the late afternoon slump that can only be cured with cake and coffee, grazing all evening because it's too late/tired to cook...no body magic because I'm using a dog walker to give him company during the day. Sorry for the whinge.

The annoying part is that I can't get the time at the moment to start applying and interviewing for another job!
  • -1lb..... i think.

Well done orlao, SunshineMummy and moneysaverme on your losses.

Orlao, 12 hour shifts sound bad. Not surprised you end up needing cake and coffee.
Moneysaverme hope you back feels better soon.
And SunshineMummy try standing still :D:p

Feeling a like I have more energy today but still rather bruised and delicate but determined to have a good day food wise

    Today's plan:
    Breakfast - fruit
    Lunch - chicken salad
Dinner - speedy chilli already in the slow cooker so I can't opt for take away later when I'm tired and don't feel up to cooking.

    HA - milk and cheese
    HB - none
Syns - ginger sweets. Also worked out with the sugar coating on some of my drugs, probably having well over my syns every day :(

If only. Used to be able to eat with them and have an allowance to spend. It's all changed now so if were somewhere 24 hours we take all food with us. It definately didn't help my weight tho lol.

:eek:We could argue that point for days!!:rotfl:

Very moving exchange between kathrynha and beanie. I have great respect for how both of you cope. I do hope the thread helps to provide a bit of normality too. Sometimes it can be easier to 'talk' to virtual friends.:A

I don't really like the clapping at group either. I think we all turn into performing seals. I particularly dislike applause when you haven't lost. It's really odd for me going along regularly while I'm trying to get back to target after 6 years of just calling in every 6 weeks or so. Hopefully it won't last too long then I can get back to normal.

We had no hot water/heating yesterday (now fixed) so house felt miserable and chilly. I couldn't face a cold drink so no alcohol syns were consumed. Again! On a Friday!

I had about 4 syns of chocolate and lots of hot cups of tea instead.:)

Probably back on the normal weekend gin plan tonight though.:)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: veggie (mushrooms, tomato, spring onion) omelette, ham, pickled cabbage
D: Aldi Lamb Rogan Josh (1.5) with HM pilau, mushrooms and SW chips
    Syns: tbc
  • Hi all :A

Wi with STS, ok with this as not had a good week with food plus a school trip so bread product plus crisps :o.

Been a major stressful week, only 1 good day out of 5 with Thursday being the worst( now the exclusion word has been mentioned! Mentioned but not enforced ). Today I'm feeling so tearful (black dog :() and need a hug but hubby is at work :(. Just keep rehashing the week :(.
Then in afternoon I go to support a lovely child but there's another child (more like my morning one) who fights for my attention. Yesterday I had to physically fight my way away from them (not hitting them  but getting them off me). No-one helped
Was so glad to get home :(.
I'm on a course one day next week (for 10 weeks) which starts at 3.30 but I don't finish until 3.15 so will be late every time, this is stressing me out too :(
Still have sciatica so haven't been using my kettle bell and now getting annoyed as I'm gaining a bit of muffin top :(

Oh I don't know, just wish I could sleep all day and everything will be ok :rotfl:

Sorry for the essay, I know some have more pressing issues than mine but the black dog makes everything seem dire. Sorry :(
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

  • Very very true...... after all we are from gods own county! x

Bubbs visits Yorkshire to get a glimpse of perfection before heading back home!

    :D:D:D:D:D:D

Err.....excuse me us Welsh might have a few thoughts on that subject but I digress!

Kathrynha hope you're feeling better today ....in fact I hope everyone who has had a !!!!!! week feels better.

Moneysaverme - sorry I haven't replied ....son has been stressing me out as he completed/moved into his first home this week. I kayak in the local swimming pool - certainly works your stomach muscles (as you're supposed to sit up straight) and your shoulders get a workout as well! The plan was to have a few lessons before we tried kayaking up the fjords but I'm not sure whether that will happen now.

In my WI I managed -2.5lb which any other time I'd be pleased with ......but I needed to lose 3lbs for my 4 st.

Menu today has been breakfast as normal & will probably have a quick snack (probably my fake steak bake) before everyone comes home. Dinner tonight will be that pepper pot stew again but instead of normal white rice I've got cauliflower rice. Wine is definitely also on the menu as well!
