We've just had salmon for dinner and it was lush. I did BNS wedges to make it SP and didn't miss chips (well not too much). It was Aldi salmon in ginger and lime marinade and that's free too. I must give the Lidl one a try as they're much bigger (Aldi only 92g). I've only recently got DH into eating salmon so making a nice change from cod and haddock.0 -
OH won't eat salmon/pink fish but I may twist his arm in to Cod in butter and herb sauce and that's a decent syn value I think
haven't used lidl in ages but the fruit and veg from our aldi can be dire and lidl gets much much better reviews so going to give them a go. OH can then be made to try their equivalents. though for somethings I'm not going to tell him. i.e spag bol I might chuck in the slow cooker to tickle away all day but add a bay leaf and a stock cube to a cheap sauce and see if he complains before I spill the beans************************************

I always do our Bolognaise in the slow cooker and then freeze it the next day. It seems to marinate that way and it thickens and intensifies the flavour. Super quick HM ready meal for when I'm busy or CBA.
I throw in all sorts: basic tin of tomatoes and chopped onion with Bay leaf, stock, basil or oregano, garlic then any other veg like peppers, carrots, mushrooms, celery, courgettes. You could always mash /wiz the veg down. I'm sure he wouldn't taste carrot or courgette, they're very mild.0 -
Just had a power cut.
Got really cold.
Maaged to munch a wee tub of pringles & a tube of smarties.
It was getting really cold.

Hello all!
Sorry I’ve been quiet. I’ve just been getting myself back into an SW frame of mind after Tuesday and Wednesday. I made the concious decision to actually just go off plan for two days and oh blimey I enjoyed it. I had sandwiches, crisps and biscuits on the train to London in first class; I had a can of my favourite San Pellegrino; I had more sandwiches and some very indulgent crisps before I went out; I ate a burger, chips and cheesecake in Planet Hollywood washed down with the most amazing white chocolate milkshake; before bed I had an egg custard tart. I ate four slices of bread, butter and Nutella and two pastries for breakfast the next day; I had two bags of crisps, two packets of biscuits and a coffee with syrup in the first class lounge then egg sandwiches, crisps and a muffin on the train. Got home and had birthday chocolate cake with Alpro soya drink. Went out for a meal at TGI Friday with OH and had nachos to start, sea bass cooked in garlic butter with creamy mash and garlic bread for main and a big slice of birthday cake for pudding. You can probably tell that a) I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday and b) bread and sandwiches feature heavily, they have always been my absolute downfall.
I weighed myself when the dust had settled on Thursday and yep I’ve regained the 5lbs I had losthowever I’m starting to pull it back- I did an SP day yesterday and will do another Tuesday. I’m hoping I can pull it back to a maintain or a small loss. I only need 1/2 a lb for my 2 stone award so that would be amazing. If not I’m not going to beat myself up about it- I’ve had an amazing time and enjoyed every bite of that gain :rotfl:
The last couple of days have been spent rather frustratingly trying to find clothes that fit me  I made OH take me to the big Primark yesterday- spent at least half an hour trying stuff on and came out with- 2 shirts and a pair of jeans  did slightly better today, got a nice top and cardie from Yours, 4 tops in Bon Marche Sale, two t-shirts, a jumper and shirt from Primark, and picked up a parcel from River Island containing two pairs of jeans and a fab shaggy gilet. I have to say I am chuffed with the shirts from Primark though- I tried it on thinking a size 20 shirt from Primark will never fit but it’s a lovely fit- so much so I bought two in different colours and went back and bought a third today. Had the mother of all clear outs tonight and finally got shot of the size 22 jeans that must be at least 4 years old and are utterly skanky but oh so comfy!
Today’s food:

Well you definitely enjoy your time off, and also your shopping for smaller clothes. I have to say bread and pastry is my downfall.
What on earth is Broghies and squaffles?100
