I hope the syns don't change for the Aldi Lamb rogan josh - I like that meal for when I fancy something quick!
I do think SW are starting to get rather big for their boots with these meals other supermarkets are bringing out - I can understand with the Asda meals, as they were using the SW name to promote them. But they aren't now and neither are Aldi - just because the packaging looks a bit similar.
Haven't bought any of the Porky lights since sausage-gate!
I do buy the SW meals, but not in large quantities. There's only certain ones I like and most of them are tasteless and just taste spicy and nothing else.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £24,616.090 -
The only SW meal I really like is the cottage pie.
The rest are way way too spicy for me.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Morning all.
1lb off this week - delighted as I've broken (just) the next stone barrier, despite my carb fest earlier this week. 6lb to go to my revised target!
Big shop needed today. I still have little control if I buy chocolate, biscuits etc so I try to buy things that others like and I don't so I'm not tempted.
Beanie I think the way your social team have been treated is very poor, especially as there doesn't seem to be any benefit to them in doing it. Glad you're staying here whatever you do about group.
Bubbs Whitby fish and chips - mmmmmmmmmm - must plan a trip. We went on New Years Day once, a lovely bright winters day, no one around, fabulous. I love the Yorkshire coast as it's the stuff of my childhood memories. Enjoy your last couple of days.
Thanks we have had a lovely week and been so lucky with the weather, today has been 20/21:T:T only wore a coat a couple of times this week.
We do love it here, but think my accent must be hard to understand :rotfl::rotfl: had to repeat myself loads today:p:T well done on your pound esmy and it's great to see an new figure on the scales.:)
Sounds like you've had a good week bubbs. Proved that a SW friendly holiday can be done.:T I've enjoyed fish and chips at Whitby too, world famous! It's an age since I had any but last time (in Weymouth for my anniversary in August) I remembered kathrynha's advice and only ate the top of the batter.
I'm going to try another SP day today. I'll write what I've got in mind but it will depend on me getting the meal plan and shopping done successfully. I'm trying another branch of Aldi today as my usual is still being refurbished. I'll keep the Benefit bars to hand in case I want another HEB.
Today's EESP plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, 2 fried eggs, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, HEA milk for drinks
L: LO SP cottage pie with cauli and kalebaked salmon, BNS wedges, runner beans, tomatoes and mushrooms
Syns: The weekend starts at 6 p.m. so guess??:D
Thanks we have , we are not people to go out drinking, we go out in the day as a rule , then too knackered to go out at night:rotfl:

Same from me VALM. This challenge just runs for another couple of weeks (until Halloween) so do post what you'd like to lose up to then or just post losses and then go for a Christmas target in the next challenge. I don't think the fb group is very active at the moment but I don't know really. When lush posts next she'll know.

Good to see you posting abbafan. Hope you're still maintaining target OK?:)
I checked today and all seems fine!:D The food values on the ones instore today are exactly the same as the one in my freezer from May (I bought in bulk when the were hard to come by).Abbafan1972 wrote: »I do think SW are starting to get rather big for their boots with these meals other supermarkets are bringing out - I can understand with the Asda meals, as they were using the SW name to promote them. Seems crazy to me. I can't see that a legal challenge to Aldi would work. They sell heaps of lookalikes. I'm having their Weetabix for HEBs at the moment. The only SW meal I really like is the cottage pie.
The rest are way way too spicy for me.
I've only ever bought one: chicken jalfrezi. It was OK but the sauce was watery so the Aldi curry wins hands down. I'm happy to make my own cottage pie. I finished last night's off for my lunch and it was lush.:)
When you said you'd not had a good start to the day deja vu, I thought you were going to say you'd missed breakfast and eaten all the tray bake! You'll get away with just missing breakfast and sounds like you had a good lunch to make up for it.
I called into Home Bargains on the way back from Aldi. I stocked up on pickled cabbage and the Chef Kwo straight to wok wholewheat noodles. They're only 0.5 syns for 150g so well worth it both cost wise and for convenience.
Talking of noodles.... thinking of you kathrynha.:)0 -

When I first joined SW I took the Chicken Tikka masala to work and of course I didn't have any rice to go with it and found it too spicy for me. My dinner break is only 30 mins anyway and I spend most my break hogging the microwave, by the time It had cooled down, i only had less than 10 mins to eat it.
I like the chicken saag, mexican chicken and the cottage pie. That's about it.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £24,616.090 -

Fb group can be hit and miss; there's 3/4 of us utilising it a little more recently.
funny old week. Wednesday second new starter at work; took him for lunch (with my new worker from last week) had missed brekkie and not had any drink all day we ended up sharing some chicken wings and a sharing platter between three of us (meant for 2 people and we still had enough left over to feed another person!) and a diet coke but then didn't have tea in the evening eitheryesterday was reasonable but not the best and today I've not done too bad but could have been better!
one more week before payday; next week will be a week of soups and fruit as I'm actually half way to well stocked woop
going to try lidl for a weeks groceries after payday so...
