Possible Missed direct debit...

I always pay off more than the minimum amount on my credit card when I get paid and then my direct debit for the minimum payment comes out about a week later. I'd rather just pay one payment so today I cancelled my direct debit so I could just pay one manual payment.
The problem is that because my payment is due on the 5th the credit card provider might try to take the payment but the bank won't let it go though cos I cancelled with them too.
I have already made a payment to my credit card this month for a lot more than the minimum payment so it won't be a missed payment just a failed direct debit.
My question is will this failed direct debit show up on my credit file???

Just call them and ask if they will still attempt to process the DD. Most likely they won't as they received more than the minimum in enough time to ensure the DD won't be taken. But if you're worried then a phone call is the surest way to get your answer.0
