I had a lovely afternoon yesterday having my haircut and colour, from the group*n I bought last month, and then a 'treat myself' lasagne and salad (with a cheeky glass of wine) using my gourm*t card, before heading home on the train with my discounted ticket - because I used Martin's code to get a discounted railcard last week :money:

Did I hear a whisper of 'scrooge' in the background :rotfl:

So I do have some pennies to add to my totals when I can be ars*d to get all the tickets out and work it all out :D I also have a couple of surveys to add and savings from some shopping, so I'll sort it all out tomorrow.

Hope you all have a super savvy Saturday

What a lovely bargain day you had Lynne! :T :D
Not scrooge at all...........I just love it when I get a bargain or something for nothing.

Hope all the people who arent feeling brilliant soon perk up. Im just praying I dont get a cold with the change in the weather which always goes to my chest.

I dont seem to be making much money apart from my tips.

I think I have virtually caught the lurgy. Cannot be bothered to do anything.

    Not much money making here.

It's the change in weather, Aesop, it's making me feel like hibernating too!

    .............
So many interesting posts to reply to but for now I need to dash because I've booked to do a table top sale this morning. I wish I wasn't going as it's a small local charity event and it will be a bit of a waste of time as far as money making goes:(. The organiser phoned me yesterday and asked if I'd have a table as they had so few sellers booked:eek:. I felt I couldn't let them down by saying 'no' , they're such nice people and in the past I've been glad of a table at their venue when there was nothing else on anywhere else. At a couple of booked-up events in the past she's even squeezed an extra table in for me :j.
Hope you did well at your TT sale this morning. You certainly deserve it and hope karma worked for you :D

Thanks all for your kind words. I think the drugs might be starting to work now, although I still feel pretty awful and not well enough to do anything much. Always scary when you visit the doctors and they are horrified by your suffering!

Fingers crossed I'll be back on the mend next week.

  • Thanks. everyone, for your nice comments about the TT sale. What sweet people you all are:A

Well, the sale was about as good/bad as expected. It was teeming with rain all morning which doesn't encourage people to venture out but we did have a little flurry of activity around 10.30 when people came in and made a beeline for the bacon sandwich counter:rotfl:.

Made £34.20 after the table fee so it could have been worse especially as I was only selling really cheap things. The best part was that I didn't have to spend a fortune on petrol as it wasn't far away.

You definitely didn't, Lynne:rotfl:. What you could hear was everyone applauding your savviness:j. Sounds like a lovely trip with lots of boxes ticked. I love getting a bargain. Good for you:beer:
