Firstly, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has shown me support from MSE. I have just read over the last few pages of my diary and it has drawn tears out of me.
I wanted to see how much I had put on here so to know how to update you.
So much has happened and I shall try and cover the last few months as best I can.
Things took an unexpected turn when a few days after GFN left, my aunty offered to come and stay for a while. I envisioned someone I could trust coming to be a shoulder to cry on etc and give me a hand with DS. But this did not happen at all. My aunty has mental health issues and she basically became seriously ill while she was with me. This affected DS and I terribly as all of a sudden – not only was I having to immediately shift my attention from my son to her – but he openly resented that. My aunt deteriorated fast whilst she was staying with us, and had stopped taking her pills which I was unaware of. I had to take time off work to help her get better but I did not do very well and eventually she ended up being taken away by the men in white coats. She was there for about 5 months, and it was just so so tough. The first few weeks were the hardest because she was regressing quite badly and I didn’t understand how to help her – DS kept asking when she would be leaving and it was difficult because she couldn’t really take care of herself and needed me to do all the cooking, cleaning, laundry, get her out of bed etc. At first I didn’t realise she was poorly and I would go to work and she would be calling me constantly asking when I’d be back etc. She’s in her 60s so quite cantankerous as well. It was all too much for me to cope with and then when I realised how poorly she was I had to get the doctors involved and when they saw how I was struggling they took over basically. Although it was a relief that she was now under their care, it just brought additional problems with it because it meant that I had to attend all her hospital appointments, as well as when there were issues with the hospital I was the only one who was able to attend so I needed even more time off work – which needless to say – in the current climate – they were not amused with. Understanding; but you know when there’s an atmosphere in the air due to your personal circs.. Weekends were the best time for me to visit but it complicated things further cos no under 18s were allowed in the mental H unit so I was always looking around for childcare on the weekends – and during the week if I was to visit it would mean paying out extra cos that’s what I had to do. The downside of that, is that I had DS at the childminders for longer than I would have wanted – because I was trying to focus on smothering him with love and affection..i really felt ‘torn’ during those months. I did try and compensate by doing lots of fun things like afternoons out and we managed to have a weekend away at the coast which was brilliant bonding with him away from all the stresses and strains of normal life..
Unfortunately I have to be in court tomorrow. I have been given an N 39 cos of a debt from 6/7 years ago. They want info going back 12 months about my incomings / outcoings. I am sh1tting myself cos I dont know whats going to happen and I dont really have bills going back that far. They are all over the house but I shall do my best and take whatever I can find with me. If anyone on here has any ideas on what to expect I'd appreciate any advice cos am a little bit frightened.

lovely to see you back bartgirl, you've been missed :grouphug:
perhaps it might be a good idea to start a new thread on the DFW boards about your court thing. Hopefully some knowledgable person will be able to help.

Bart girl lovely to see you posting. You've been through so much but now is a time to sort out you!
See what you can find to take with you into court.Don't panic about it.Have you a friend you could ask to go with you?
I don't know the ins and outs of court but surely if you explained your circumstances there should be someone there to help and take things into consideration.
I always believed you couldn't be chased for debts over 6yrs.I'm going to go search about see what I can find.If you can post on another thread I'm sure advice would flow.
Sending a virtual hug your way(((((((((((BartGirl)))))))lost my way but now I'm back ! roll on 2013
