Thanks poorbabe!! and everyone else for all the moral support..
On an even better front - I got the job!!!
Had the interview this afternoon, and shortly after I got an email saying that they'll sign me up! I dont have an official start date or anything, as its teaching online so when they have an available student they'll let me know!
I'm so happy - I had to tell OH about it cos its poss he'll be around if / when i start doing it - but i didnt tell him what i'd be earning tho..for obvious reasons..
I bought a sticker book for DSs train-trip-bag. Plus carton juices and decided i'd drag whatever treats were left in a goody bag we got from a party last year. Also picked up 2 gifts for the 2 kids where we'll be staying - so overall another low-spend day. :T
Roll on payday!!!
I got to Manchester tomorrow a.m. and have decided i'll withdraw £30 and keep thai in my purse to last us the weekend. I know we'll be going out Sat cos i'm going specifically to support my friend at a function she's performing at, but i'm hoping that'll cover the whole 4 days. Fri - Mon. Shall update y'all when i return!!!

Some jobs have training period on a appentice salary, and many pay in arrears or make deductions for uniform, employee christmas saving schemes....Lots of reasons why you may be working extra hours but have a *long* delay before you have any money to be borrowed.

Hi Bartgirl
Congratulations about getting a second job. That will make it much easier to save!
Barnaby Bear, what an inventive amount of deductions you came up with, it made me smile!
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

I just realised I've not been on here for almost a week - well - I have, but i just hadn't posted anything. My computer had a virus so i avoided doing too much until i got it sorted..which i have now so..back in business!! :T
My trip was and was not a success. I spent more than I intended. Only because my friend ended up being so totally skint when I got there, that I ended up paying for a take-away - cos there was no food in, the 1st night and i kept contributing a fiver here and there etc towards further food shopping, petrol etc. So in the end I ended up paying more that I'd planned. This sort of left me in a position where I have not paid out as much as I'd have liked in terms of debt reduction this month.
I got the extra £150 overtime I'd mentioned. It was meant to go: £50 extra for computer; therefore end up paying it off 1 month early. Done!!
Then the remaining £100 was to go on to the £50 provident money. He got £90 instead. So I owe £258 on there now. I'm gutted that I had all the right intentions but it hasnt panned out at all. Plus I also know that next month I'm not due any overtime.
So on that basis, I've decided that since the main focus on things is savings, I've decided to concentrate on increasing my income as much as possible during March. I already have a few items listed on Ebay from yesterday and already have a fiver bid on there so am pleased about that. I have loads to go on there for the next few weeks. Books and household items as well. Wish me luck!!

Good to hear from you BartGirl and wishing you loads of luck on increasing your income. Have you ever looked at Benbenandme 's thread - she is so good at making extra money ? Take care XXNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

Ellidee - yes i do read her diary alot. More for inspiration on stuff with my DS but its one of the few I do follow.
This morning I've prepared a box of stuff to go onto Ebay. Weighed etc. Tonight once DS's asleep, i'll put them on.
Done internet banking, plus quidco although i dont know how to do 'piggy clicks' - perhaps someone here could advise ? I dont gamble so dunno what else could do on there.
Today's gonna be hectic cos house is upside-down and am working tomorrow so all laundry etc needs to be done today!!
Car insurance ends this month so may sit on quidco later tonight for ideas on there..shall catch up on here later..
I also got a 'tenner off' voucher from Ebay and have spotted a juicer that I want so shall be able to afford one finally (my signature reveals all!!)CC1: [strike]1,500[/strike] CC2:[strike]£830[/strike] Vanquis [strike]£1500[/strike] £2000 left
