I too am having some problems with this outfit, but if cannot resolve will contact my MP, and take matter to court, requiring compensation for the distress caused.
This may be of interest to some, use citizens advice bureau CAB, and Trading Standards, all on internet. See ' unsolicited goods' and ' aggressive sell'. Like some others have fallen into the trap. But will fight, keep watching and contact for some publicity needs to be brought to this, perhaps a journalist investigation, see how it goes in next week or so. By the way Daily Mail may be interested.0 -
Hi ALL I am having a bad time with this company receiving goods I have not ordered, being invoiced for them and what with sending them back. Had lots of phone calls with there office when you can get through. They tell you it will all stop and the very next day you receive three goods that you have not ordered. Sent them back and the next day you get another AE that you have not ordered. The last time the post man arrived and at the same time a private couriers arrived with one. Call them and they told me to send it back which I did after demanding they pay the postage. I have sent 40 emails to them tell them to cancal my order with them telling them I don't want to deal with them at all. But that dose not stop them, also told them I will put my so solicitor on to them, but that dose not stop them, This morning I received three invoices from them for payment for three things I have sent back. I have told them in very long detailed emails that I have written to the Daily Express Judge Render about this harassment they are giving me but that dosn't not stop them I hope he takes it up for me. What a company this is I would tell anyone to stop clear of them once they get you try getting out of it more chance of getting out of jail. I am 74 year old but I will take them on and sue them for my health I have angina and had two heart attacks and still think I can take them on don't give in to them. thanks sam0

Do contact you local MP, and citizens advice. Also ask about legal action against them for the distress caused to yourself, the cost of effort to return postage - got to be £5 every time have to go to PO, and lots of cost for time on telephones, and writing emails - start adding it up. DO KEEP ALL RECEIPTS. Also check out 'unsolicited mail', and 'aggressive sales'. This outfit must be and can be brought to heel. Will soon be setting up a site on facebook about this problem. They must learn that they may have a customer, but also they have a duty of care for that customer. Do USE your MP.0

I have had the same problems as everyone here. My husband ordered
'The Flying Scotsman' months ago and after a problem on the phone I cancelled the whole order and today I received a threatening letter from them saying I would be taken to court for an unpaid bill. As I didn't receive the train and paid no cash I can't be sued.
Just been on the phone to the debt collectors used by Atlas Editions and a very bored sounding young man just said he would cancel the 'debt' for a train that never arrived.
Please don't let these people intimidate any of you.
Ignore Atlas Editions and just go straight to the debt collectors.
I certainly won't order anything from these sharks again.. 'free' or not, they are just bullies.0 -
Would just like to give a brief account of my mothers experience with this company.
My mum ordered two dolls, which she received and I paid over the phone by credit card for these.
My mother received another doll earlier this week from Atlas for a charge of £19 that she was not aware of and does not want. After speaking to Atlas about this, they advised my mother that she had received a contract with her original order stating that she had been enrolled into some sort of a subscription scheme, and was told that she should have cancelled this service if it wasn't wanted.
My mum is entitled to return this said parcel but due to the hassle of packaging it up, traveling to the post office, the risk of it getting lost in the post, the fact that my mum has to pay for the postage and for the length of time it would take for Atlas to action my mothers refund. My mum is of the view that she might as well keep it.
My mum has paid for the item today, has told Atlas that she doesn't want to be part of this subscription scheme or have any more parcels. My mother was informed today that yet another parcel has already been sent which she will refuse.
MORAL OF THE STORY, IF YOU PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ATLAS EDITIONS, YOU ARE ENTERING INTO AN ONGOING SUBSCRIPTION SCHEME.0
