  • My husband and I are not pleased with the company..it's not the goods, he had order buses which he was pleased with but after we cancelled. Once we cancelled we ended up with 3 further buses. All 3 were returned but 1 kept being returned back to us although the company were repeatedly told we had cancelled and it had been returned. They then hounded us for £16+ for this bus, which we did not have and on the 3rd threatening letter I've just paid because I do not have the strength to go any further with it (as I have just gone through the illness and death of my mother - other wise I probably would have) No this lot are triers and every step you associate with them, just watch them because they will try for the extra pennies
  • very bad experience with this company.
I must say years ago I had no problem with them when I last ordered something and subsequently cancelled. No problem.
But I ordered an Eddie Stobart lorry in December 2012. Then I emailed them to cancel. Never had a reply so I called them in January 2013 to make sure they cancelled and not sent anything else. I got it all confirmed. So I set back and relax. Must say I had several letters and emails from that in the months after that I ignored and binned altogether. then I think in june I received another eddie stobart lorry. I haven't touched it, went straight to the post office to send it back in its original packaging. Then I had a threatening letter from a different company saying they are chasing payments of about £62. I told them I haven't a clue whats all that about and that I cancelled my subscription in January. They told me they d be investigating it further with AE. No again I have another letter saying they couldn't sort it with AE so they will want payment. I think this is outrageous! they keep customers details on file for God knows how long and try sending them stuff and then chasing the money. I am going to ring them tomorrow to sort it out once and for all. they actually make me feel sick. I only hope they don't target pensioners as I am only 34 but feel absolutely physically sick about all this and how they target people and hound them. If anything I will take them to court and give them a bill of my healthcare cost as well. cause they are making me ill..:(((
  • I just called AE and I must say I am pleasantly surprised as the lady on the phone was lovely and she said is ok, she will send out a form to fill out and it will get sorted, so I wont be chased for the money that I don't even owe. After all it was a great experience!

We had similar happen to us , hubby ordered a bus , supposed to be no obligations etc but others kept coming . In the end we just refused to accept them off the postman. Hubby rang and told them , they tried it on but he stuck to his guns.
Babycica don`t be surprised if its not the end of it ? xx
  • I ordered a Blackpool tram for my grandson as a one off from these people for 99p . I have been inundated with rams, trucks, etc ever since. I am now sending the third one back freepost, and have told and told them by phone and email not to send anymore. They do not listen Give these people a wide berth.
  • Atlas Military models are quality authentic products, BUT their administration is inept.
I have written TWICE telling them I do not require anymore products and still they arrive. I have told them I WILL NOT pay for them and they must collect if they want them back.
Seeing my solicitor Wednesday next week and will let him deal with them.

Be very careful when dealing with this company, they are staffed by idiots.
I cancelled my contract with them at the end of January 2014, and two weeks later I received a parcel, which I decided to accept because they told me that the parcel had been dispatched before I cancelled.
In March I received another parcel, which I refused to accept.
In May, they sent another parcel, and tried to charge me for the parcel sent in March, again I refused to accept May's parcel.
On checking the bill, which they sent in May, I noticed that they were attempting to charge me for two items, which had already been paid for.
They have now sent me another bill for three items, which have been paid for.
I've had to threaten them with a lawyer, unless they "Cease and Desist."
  • I responded to an offer, from ATLAS EDITIONS, for a Victorian doll, for £1.99, usual price £18.99. Sent off a cheque, for £1.99, on receipt of the doll. Received NO correspondence regarding late payment until today, when I received a threatening letter from CCS Debt Collections, demanding £18.99 as I had never paid for the doll!!! Going on-line and reading ATLAS EDITIONS customers' reviews, I find that this is a common scenario. People send off a cheque, its never cashed, then they receive a threatening letter from CCS Debt Collections, some time later! Its happened to MANY people. Don't take my word for it. Read the reviews for yourself! Makes VERY interesting reading!
  • I feel such a fool as I have been suckered in by atlas editions, I should have known better, I bought over the phone two eddie stobart hgv lorries which I thought would make a nice xmas present for my grandson, today I received another one which I did not ask for and did not want, I have been trying to call them throughout the day but have been unable to actually speak to anyone from atlas.
It looks like I will be paying for this 3rd lorry via direct debit, this cannot be legal can it?
    Regards,
    Jon.
  • Some months ago, I was given an advert from a magazine by my neighbour, offering a FREE mini model. I am quite cautious by nature, so read the advert and saw no mention of any 'conditions' to complete to receive the freebee.
It duly arrived then an invoice came asking for money (£2.99) if I didn't take up an offer of buying a collection of model buses I think it was. I thought they must have made a mistake as I had only requested the 'free' model so just threw the invoice in the bin.
Today I was sent a letter from a CCS Collect, Debt Collectors demanding a payment of £18.99 within 7 days or they may have to send debt collectors round to my house or advise Atlas Editions to take me to court! My husband had opened the letter and subsequently suffered chest pains at the intimidating suggestions of 'debt collectors' and 'court proceedings'. He had an Angina attack! We're OAPs on a very limited income and have never, ever, been pursued for any kind of debt! I have serious health problems and this is not helping.
I tried e-mailing them through their 'contact us by e-mail' on the website but it doesn't work! It was only after googling them that I found they have many dissatisfied customers who have posted on this site.
I suppose I will have to phone to try to sort this all out but am not looking forward to dealing with what seems to be a bit of a shady company.
    POTENTIAL BUYERS BEWARE!!!
