FVD - You can knock that 'old & fat' nonsense on the head right now, Missis! I'm probably a good bit bigger than you & I don't call myself 'fat'. I reckon you are a similar age to me? Maybe I'm slightly younger, but I bet we're in the same general ball park........ & I certainly don't think of myself as 'old'. So there you are. Consider yerssen told!!
F x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0 -
I'm considerably older than you, Foxgloves, I'm 58 now
However I won't be going to any pubs tonight as I feel frickin' awful, something has upset my tummy, (probably my YS diet :rotfl: ) and I have a throbbing headache. I hope I'm not coming down with something on my week off, that would be so unfair
I have loaded the car to do the boot sale in the morning though, the FB buyer for whom I took three things down from eBay (part of the capped deal too) failed to turn up  I have left a few things at home that I won't get anything like what they're worth at a boot sale and anything I don't sell tomorrow is going to the charity shop as part of operation 'reclaim some space'. I have a brick built garden store at the back of my house where I plan to house my stock when I build my empire :rotfl:
I have a carpenter coming round tomorrow to give me a quote for doing my MDF desk, I think it might be worth getting him to do it rather than me if he's not too expensive as he'll have all the right tools, be quicker than me and hopefully do a better job!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Hope every ones had an ok day,
I did everything I set out to do other than only buy milk as I bought fish & chips for the family when we were at thr park !!!
The good news is that today's picnic photos highlighted that i look like Im still pregnant and my LOs one haha so no more chips for me
Tomorrow Im going to gut the house ready for a fresh week , meal plans done and bills paid today so over all a fairly productive weekend:):D0 -

I have someone else that wanted one of the things she wanted and I'm tempted to let her have it whether the other one gets back to me or not :cool:Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Hi All
Quick post before bed. Today has been a really chilled day. DD came over and introduced us to a NT place about 20 mins away from our home (it appears we've driven past it lots of time and never realised it was there), she took one of her dogs and we took "ours" and we had a really lovely walk (and chat). Have also

Lol, FVD. Ok, you are a bit older than me, but not by all that much, despite what you think. I have a younger husband but can assure you I was graduating university while he was still sitting his O-levels (bless.....) x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
