    decision time...

Depending on how much it will cost to do the C&G of course.. do we think it would be beneficial to do the accredited course or shall I stick to my guns and not do it.. I do hope to go to uni in a couple of years when Tiddles is at full time nursery or school .. I 'think' I want to do biology degree (I might change my mind on subject but biology is always the thing I come back to.. not sure what I would do with it once I had got it either.. lol) and having completed a C&G will get me in as evidence of previous learning.. so it WILL work to my advantage and I will be able to do the C&G with my eyes closed.

So what would you lot do??

:hello: to you all. Blimey you lot have been busy as ever! JUST 10 pages to catch up on!!!!! So please forgive me if the following replies have been discussed but if I don't reply as I go through I will forget who said what and what I want to say in response!! Well it is Friday night :p

Anyway pigpen re the above, how much is the course? Would the stuff you make be of any use to you or could you sell it on ebay to recoup the outlay on materials? How long is the course? Or would if be worth doing and O or A level in biology in prep for a degree in the same (assuming you haven't done O/A level already)

Just thinking about the course, could you maybe try an OU one Pigpen ? Might even be able to get fee support depending on income.

Back to the plastering I think, just had a right mess, kept adding water too much, then too much plaster stuff etc, ended up with a huge amount more than I planned :o

    hello peeps
Yes we are all still around, I just never seem to have a spare minute these days! Things are going really well with the baby, she is now just over 4
weeks old and putting on wight really well. Breastfeeding going brilliantly, I am really chuffed with myself with persevering through the pain barrier and boy was it a pain barrier. However now its a doddle and we are doing it all over Reading LOL.

Nights are ok so far. She settles back to sleep well in the night, and only cries for food or company sometimes in the day. But mainly she sleeps or lies looking around in wonder at the world. She is just heavenly, its just wonderful :D I promise to try and upload some pics this week.

The house is just about still standing, DS has started wettig in the day again bigtime, probably reaction to school and baby, so the WM is working overtime at the moment.

I have no time to log on during the day, its lurching from one feed to older one's nappy to DS wetting or needing dragged to the loo or else someone else needs food of some sort. In the evening the baby is feeding madly from about 7-10 and then in between times I am sorting out spare trousers and pants for DS for school and writing thankyous or opening mail that has been lying around for days !!

When will I ever get back on top of flying ? How does anyone with a new born get anything done ???

I said a week or so ago I would try and read the thread every day - ha ha what a joke that was! Oh well maybe I will try and read it next week.

Hope everyone is well, hugs for those in need,
    Jillx

    Hiya
Only had time to read the last few pages but hugs to everyone especially Lil_me, your friends baby and family is in my thoughts.

I've had no news from my friends family which i'm considering good news. I don't want to keep phoning them so i'll pop a card through their door next week. Had some bad news today when a friend told me her husband has terminal cancer. He's been ill for a while now but there is nothing more that can be done. They have two young children. Life can be totally poo!

Hugs to all who need them xx

JillD nice to hear from you, pleased everything is going well with the little one, I am sure the wetting again will pass with your DS, stuff the house enjoy your time just being a Mam, something the last 24 hours has definately reminded me to do...

LJD1 hoping no news is good news, also really sorry to hear about your friend, life definately can be poo!

Well that's enough plastering for tonight, could really hate animals at times like this, pup when little managed to scratch the plaster off down to the brick work, problem is now building it up in small layers. My plastering is much like my icing, with both mixing and spreading, terrible! :o

  • Woo hoo, my ebay items finally moved and nearly up to £100. They all end Sunday, so now Im hopeful of a reasonable result:j :j

Well, I went for the wallpaper stripping option and now have 2 clear walls, and have taken the curtains and curtain pole down - so another successville day in liloandstitchville.:D The house remains relatively tidy and miracle of miracles, things are being put away after they are used. There is hope for my sanity yet!!!
Night night and big hugs to all

  • Lil_me, plastering?.A woman of many talents! Any good at wallpapering? Hope it's all shaping up nicely, I'm glad for you.
JillD, lovely to hear from you, busy as you seem to be. Flying, pah! Some things are more important.
LJD, hugs back to you, Ducks.

I need to get back into an early night routine for starting back at work next week;I'll miss my little lies-in. I bumped into my boss and then one of my colleagues in Mr T's tonight and by all accounts I've missed an awful week of flooding and staff shortages from sickness and aggro. I don't know.. I have a week off and the place goes to ruin, tut!

I might join you in the morning but am going to fetch Blokey at lunchtime for the weekend. I had a good chat with my SIL tonight about all my reservations about him/us - she's fab like that and asks all the right questions and poses scenario to get me thinking beyond Rose Coloured Glasses. We came to the conclusion that it's me that's got the issues. Something to work on I guess.

    Have a restful night all.
