Pigpen don't feel guilty! You sure he got lost and wasn't just skiving? I have used that excuse in the past! LOL!
Went to visit Dad, who is crabbit! And also has a catheter in, covered only by a sheet and he kept moving it about, I was like 'Dad! Stop trying to flirt with the old lady in the other bed!' Mum and I were winding him up a bit, but boy is he cranky! Maybe its the morphine, he has one of those self-service drips, he kept misplacing it.
Kids in bed, hubby die home soon, WM still not been looked at! Guess what hubby will be doing tonight?0 -

Pigpen, you're only human! I am sure he enjoyed his little adventure. I think I would be asking why school didn't contact you when he haddn't arrived, might be worth making sure just incase it happens again, then you could have called him to see where he was.
Been over to see my friend, she's being great, taking it very well, her partner isn't....definately not, men aren't good when things go wrong usually so to be expected. Baby is doing well, she phoned the ward while they were there and the nurse said he was screaming the place down in objection to a nappy change, always a good sign. Like I said to her I know it's worrying leaving him but he's got the best qualified babysitters in the country looking after himHe might even be able to come home in between this and his major op
which is a good sign. They've given them a flat to stay in for his first few days at least. A charity I am involved with who I contacted today has offered them free parking in their car park which is very near the hospital, will save them a fortune as it cost them £14 just for last night. Open visiting now as he's on a normalish ward but don't think I'll be able to go and see him until at least Monday, seen photos however, he's a little cracker.
Flying :rotfl: don't be stupid, I ain't even washed up yet, need to do some more plastering tonight and finish some last bits in the kitchen. One day I might be more organised...........

I haven't had a chance to catch up till this evening.
Lil_me - Your friend and little Matthew will be in my prayers.
On the cost of parking, try asking at the reception desk of the hospital, as they will probably give an exemption voucher under the circumstances. Both times I've been in with DSI and DS2, I have been given one, and because we are now spending so many hours and days at the hospital, my brother, sister and I all have one at the moment.
tiamai_d - very best wishes for your father.
pigpen -please don't beat yourself up, he's safe and sound, and that's what matters.
Did a little shaky flying yesterday, and none today, as working this morning, and visiting mum this afternoon. She's a tiny bit better today, but it remains touch and go.
I've just told DD about you all on Facebook, and she's bet me I can't do it...
(((hugs))) to all in need of oneIt is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
serena thanks for that, they did ask, the most they could do was offer space in their car park that staff use for a few days which is cheaper but not free, all hospitals up here the parking is ran by private firms I think and they are money grabbing ********
tiamai, hope your Dad is on the mend soon, was 'Hubby die home soon' just a miss type or is that if he doesn't fix the washer :rotfl:One day I might be more organised...........

I've had a mental last 2 days.I spent most of yesterday either clearing out my landing cupboards or talking to the holiday company I'm taking to the small claims.I couldn't get on here at all, do you think i should claim them for lost valuable time? Trying to catch up with the posts and as usual every emotion has passed through here.Hugs to all! Well today was SMUG friday in the russetred house we held out against the holiday company, see the lies they can tell you, and we won.We should receive around £800 for our holiday debarcle and I'll post in the holiday section when we find out the final amount should be 01/11 .So me and OH thought we'll treat ourselves to a nice bottle of wine when we're in Mr T's but after half an hour of indecision we admitted we're MSE to the core and went for the 3 for £10! Honestly!!!:D"Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0

lil_me - that is an absolute disgrace!
I understand why they charge for the car parks in both the hospitals I have been to, as they are near the town centres, and if they were free, they would be full of people who work nearby or shoppers. But at least they don't try to profit from people who really need to park for a while. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0
