I just got up after a read of my book and a snooze in bed, and i still feel rubbish so i am about to ring work and tell them i won't be there tomorrow either.
achieved today:- took letter from Ds visiting NHS clinic to drs (only about 3 weeks late  )
- got free prescription form stamped and an envelope for it
- got a urine sample bottle
- bought myself a bottle of Friji milkshake and drank it while reading a newspaper
- watched crappy daytime telly - ie. home and away repeats on five life
- washed 3 loads of my clothes - 2 have been hung up and i will do the 3rd before i pick DS up from nursery
- emptied the airers of clothes
- put away in DS's wardrobe the clothes i had ironed and sorted the other day
- put the shirts i had ironed for me away in my wardrobe
- packed away 2 boxes of DS's too small clothes which now need taping shut and putting in the loft by DH
- got mince out of freezer for tea - i am also thinking a shepherds pie for tea although i could be persuaded by a chilli or spag bol - depends how my stomach is later
so no mountains moved, but a slightly fresher Michelle, and we will see what i feel like with another day off under my belt
Michelle, x0 -
Back again,
I haven't managed to hoover, so I'll just leave it till yomorrow. DH going to work tonight so I'll have the house to myself and be able to crack on.
So, for this evening. I have some things to put on ebay turbo lister, I have to download powerpoint onto a laptop that I use for my voluntary work....I can't think of anything else. I was going to do some backing, but I think I might need to top up on ingredients first.
Oh, just remembered, I need to empty the TD and do bass practise.
Going to pull the chicken out of the slowcooker so its cool enough to pull apart for tea.0 -

well after half an hour of sorting wedding stuff with OH on msn i am going to do another timed 45 mins on my writing.
anyone up for a 45 minute challenge? or a 30 min one?Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
I am done with the kitchen now and just off to sort out some eBay stuff.
I haven't confessed to my OH that I am being a Flylady although he was impressed when he got home from work yesterday.
So just wondered whether your OHs/kids know that you fly?

Hi Mamashaz
I was embarrassed to tell OH about it and a few years ago maybe I wouldn't have but we have got a lot closer the last year or so (long story).
He is actually quite impressed by the system and has mentioned taking a timer to work with him. Woke up feeling rough yesterday and soon developed a migraine so went back to bed to try to sleep it off. Got up at 1.30pm thinking Hour and half to do 'house blessing'. Power cut!
Last night was telling OH about my day and how I really hadn't wanted to get behind. He said "What would flylady say about never being behind?". It's great to have his support like that!:D
There are people though I would never tell like MIL for instance.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -

I told hubby. He thinks that any sort of 'conversation' on the internet is weird, but as for FLYlady, he thinks we are all mad!
He has noticed a huge difference in the house though, but more importantly, in me. I can relax more. If the bedroom is not tidy, so what, I know it's clean. I'm not buzzing round and feeling as guilty as I used to because the house is not sitting perfect.
Plus, on the usual arguments of 'well, what exactly DO you do all day?' come up, I can say... 'well Monday I did this, Tuesday that, and I do this, that, the other, some of that, that when I can' and have proof! LOL!
Oh and when he did have a look at the lists, he saw just what work does go into 'proper' housework, not this, swish a dish, ciggy, swipe a dish, ciggy, hoover the floor bogies then ciggy and have a cuppa tea, carry on!
Yes I did see him one day wash one dish and stop for a ciggy!
And for lazy me, its a good incentive. One room a day and weekends off is a nice way to handle everything that needs doing.0 -
LOL Rach I need to get some Hallowe'en stories for well, a Hallowe'en thing!
45 min writing challenge after kids go to bed!
If I did that every night, I could have a novel!0 -
Thanks for the suggestions re: mince, unfortunately I don't have any of those things in (can you tell I'm new to cooking from scratch?) so I've ditched the mince for tea tonight and replaced it with a home-made corned beef/potato/onion pie (I had spuds to use up) but the mince is on for tomorrow and it's on my 'to buy urgently' list for tomorrow....:)
Just waiting for the spuds to do then I'm gonna have a mooch round the joint to see what can be improved whilst it's in the oven. Gone very dark and cold here now brrrrrrr....0 -
well, didn't finish it all, but i reckon one more 45 min stint when i get home tonight and i should do! probably in front of the tv though!
my OH thinks i am obsessively clean and tidy (haha) and that chatting on here is mad! he thinks its funny that i am thrifty and winds me up but not in a nasty wayMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
