Good for them.
As we went into the referendum I was shocked by the number of EU nationals living in my local parks and in vans just parked up. All around the south there were people living in the open under just taupaulin and in tents. Nuts. People outside the south have no idea whats its been like.Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.0 -
Such is the desperation to divert from reality that - from Marr's interview with May - one quote is commented-upon but not the immediate reply!
Well they wouldn't, would they; it doesn't fit their propagandist stance.
"Nice quote from Marr something along the lines of 'if the cabinet is like a nest of singing birds one of them is a giant Cuckoo and there are at least three vultures too'." it says above, completely ignoring the immediate response of:
"Boris is completely behind the Florence speech and the line that we have taken".
This is not to be taken as that I am some kind of avid Theresa May supporter; rather that deliberate misdirection has yet again been attempted and now pointed out.ilovehouses wrote: »It's a fact that Boris says he and May 'are a nest of singing birds' and May says 'Boris is absolutely behind the Florence speech and the line that we have taken'.
However it would be fallacious reasoning to take this fact to prove they are, in fact, like harmonious lovebirds.
You misunderstand the definition of "fallacious".
It is in fact fallacious to interpret what has been said as anything other than what has been said.Fallacious: Based on a mistaken belief.0 -
There is no way May will get rid of Boris. He is only where he is to provide a convenient "whipping boy" if things hit the fan.0

Indeed.
The latest reports suggest at least 337 injured so far, with for example firemen who were protecting the public themselves being attacked by Spanish police.
Rather than post the actual footage as it may be distressing to some, I will only say that I have seen much violence which is truly shocking - and even more so when it is against the elderly.
Regardless of what happens about Catalonia and their referendum, Spain will surely find itself facing international condemnation for the brutality of these actions seen today.0 -

Oh dear, wrong again; quite habitual it increasingly appears.

It wasn't omitted since it was already paraphrased in the conversation.
Anyway, you should look at what they do rather than say. Do they look like they are in harmony? Even the fact she feels the need to state how much they agree indicates that it's a lie. If they were all on the same page it'd never come up.0 -

This is the sort of people the remainers are trying to lumber us with in their united states of europe.
When people in the future want to leave the united states of europe they will be shot with rubber bullets or worse....

I understand it quite well seeing as I've explained in detail why your reasoning is fallacious.
The fact that someone says something doesn't make it a fact that what they say is true. You take everything at face value if you wish but I'll keep taking an interest in what people say AND mean if that's ok.
May isn't being honest and neither is Boris. It'll probably come as a massive shock when you read about what's been going off in their autobiographies in a few years time. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Because it is via the suggestions of the media that the need has arisen to state how much they agree; consider for example if media headlines had instead been along the lines of "Boris backs-up May's Florence speech" or "Boris re-affirms the official stance".
Would the need to confirm agreement arise following those?
No.
This is in my opinion no more than the furtherance of our media in their desire to portray all things Brexit-related in the most negative light possible, as they have done since even before the first vote was cast.
There is no distance between them here:https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/sep/30/boris-johnson-increases-pressure-on-may-with-fresh-brexit-intervention
Perhaps instead some pro-remainers are peeved and attempting distraction because TM reaffirmed on Marr that the UK will leave the EU in March 2019.0 -

I don't think it's unpatriotic to point out the UK's position is in a mess when not only is Davis showing his cards the backseat negotiators back in Whitehall are giving him earache about how to play them.
It's all music to the ears of anyone who couldn't care less if we leave in a messy or orderly fashion.
What you said I said and what I actually said are two totally different things so please don't try to put words in my mouth.
And if you think that Davis is begging for a trade deal, you must think you know something that no one else does.0
