I'm terribly sorry, I had to go and interact with the real world for while, and didn't realise that it was necessary to post my itinerary on here prior to leaving the house.

Anyway, it took me about a minute to find this from you:

"The people I feel sorry for are the poor b*stards who's partner is a Remainer. It must have dawned on them now that they're stuck in that relationship for ever. If they try to dump their dreadful whiny partner they're going to spend years having to deal with angry messages on social media, tearful late-night phone-calls, unwanted bunches of flowers asking if they can give it another go, and all sorts of veiled threats about what'll happen in future if they dare to leave.

Not all Remainers are Stalkers, but all Stalkers voted Remain."

Unless, of course, what you were trying to say was that, like the (now) medium-sized remainer, you are trying to change your position, so you won't have to admit that you were wrong.

So I'm sorry but you will get no apology from me, I'm afraid.

Oh, and I'm just off out again for an hour or so, in case that's a problem for you.

Haha, that the best you could do was it.

Oh dear, very very weak. Would have been far better to man up & admit you were wrong.

But I don't think the polls show that. I think most Irish are still pro EU.
This is true for now. ;)
    Just wait until they realise:
1/ That the EU don't give two hoots about the effect on Ireland of Brexit - and how much it will cost them.

2/ That they realise they will continue to pay more and more to EU coffers to fund for example a quarter-million Euro Sicilian lift that goes nowhere; billions of Euros on virtually-unused Eastern European roads and unused airports; a wasteful monthly shuffle between Brussels and Strasbourg; etc. etc. etc.

That pro-EU sentiment could soon fade.

The lack of self awareness in this post is utterly mind-boggling.

Another snide comment backed up with nothing by yourself.

As I said to the other poster, back up your assertions with some evidence. The change might do you good.

    Ah.
You must have noticed how many pro-remain posters here are incapable of that despite being proven wrong, often more than once?

Have a giggle and whilst reading this, see how many of the following list certain pro-remain posters in this thread alone are guilty of on a regular basis. ;)

the EU. There, that edit sums your post up.
Look, the EU have been on the back foot with Brexit since the result of the referendum became known.
From the begging "Please start Article 50" to "Whaddayamean you want your territorial waters back?"; from impossible requests like "but you have to pay first" to "the ECJ must have jurisdiction" - senior Eurocrats continue their attempted domineering stance and immobility.
If you really wanted to "Negotiate withdrawal and then move on to striking a trade deal" you would be aiming your remarks at senior Eurocrats since the UK have shown willingness to compromise.
Now the EU must do likewise or they will be to blame for the consequences.

Sums up your debating style pretty well ;)

To be fair when I'm wrong (it happens) I'll admit it. What I usually see when you're wrong is pedantry and shifting of goal posts.

Can you move on from trying to claim remainers are idiots or biased, and try to debate on the issues?

    Move on?
As you are in your post?

You might ignore it but I have admitted when I am wrong; I am not infallible and neither do I profess to be - unlike so many of the pro-remain contingent; what you really do not like I suspect is that I stand up against the lies of those remainers and refuse to be cowed by them.
It's difficult being pedantic with no audience.

Being as polite as possible may I suggest that you heed your own advice - especially the "move on" bit. ;)

"The Catalan independence referendum is a much bigger issue for the EU than Brexit"
We don’t know how the day will pan out but we do know that whatever happens there will be consequences not just for Spain but for the European Union.
The obvious big question really is not so much the outcome of the referendum but whether Spain and Catalonia can rebuild their relationship. If they cannot do so, then Catalonia becomes a threat not just to Spain but to the EU as a whole, in some ways a greater threat than the departure of the UK.

I thought perhaps readers might like to know that this is causing concern across Europe, for example with this from Deutsche Welle: http://www.dw.com/en/opinion-spain-versus-catalonia-an-epidemic-of-insanity/a-40761471

Oh I've tried debating the issues but the questions just get ignored.

Apologies if I've missed the posts where you admit mistakes
