You have a bunch of people running the country whose naked ambition is more important to them than an effective outcome to the most important negotiations than we've faced in years. Brexit is much more important than the leadership. They should !!!!!! and get on with it.
But there has to be a leadership election sometime - when do you think the best time will be if not now?
I do think that whoever is leader Davis and Fox should be left in place.0 -
Canadian High Commissioner Says Brexit Trade Deal Could Be “Even Better” Than EU’sThe Canadian High Commissioner has painted a positive trading relationship picture between Britain and Canada once the UK leaves the EU.
Janice Charette said the partnership between the two countries was “important” and was confident Britain and Canada could strike an “even better agreement” than what’s in place.

David Davis comes out as bookies favourite.
I'm not sure he'd want it?0 -
FWIW A Tory leadership election contest can be triggered in two ways. When 15% of Tory MPs write to the chairman of the 1922 committee, Graham Brady, expressing a lack of confidence in the current leader.
(Once that threshold has been reached, Mr Brady announces the start of the contest and invites nominations.) Or the leader resigns.0 -

Judgement can only be made with hindsight. Takes 27 to tango. The EU is not one voice. Let's stick to facts. Facebook beliefs belong in the MoneySaversArms.0 -
Henry Bolton, Ulip's new leader, looks like he is a proper threat to Labour and the tories.
He's going to go afterr the Tories on their failure to deliver Brexit but also on defence cuts.
If Brexit isn,t finished by 2022,he'll take leave votes from Lab and cons : leaving all the Remainers voiting for Corbyn.Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.0 -
Great post...... except it's not true.
If you'd care to back up what you say by listing my posts "criticising eveverything the EU and Remain supporters have said and done, whilst unconditionally supporting anything that the Brexit camp have done" then I'll agree with you. Otherwise I await the apology I'm sure you'll be big enough to provide.
As usual when you ask somebody to back up what they're saying they go very
quiet. Funny that.0 -
Any chaos is caused by undermining Remainers. We need May out, and a proper leader in her place that has the vision and passion to take others with her, him.
Back seat drivers like Rudd are holding us back.
You actually mean, Boris who is a Brexiter is NOT causing chaos? There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -

Paywalled but I'm sure you get the idea.
This is what I have been suggesting could happen since the Florence speech.
I am beginning to believe that you are right and this Tory Government will destroy the economy as they are so incompetent that they can not negotiate Britains withdrawal from the EU.
The EU is showing extraordinary restraint in the face of such incompetence and disrespect.
Under normal circumstances the EU should break of negotiations while the people on the other side of the table engage in a fist fight.
I suspect the EU have decided they can do nothing more but just to wait it out and run the clock down to March 2019.
Anyone who defends the British approach is letting their passion for Brexit cloud their judgement.
Just go back six months to the triggering of Article 50, would anyone imagine how badly the British Government would handle the negotiations.
Please MRS May stop Britain looking a fool. Negotiate withdrawal and then move on to striking a trade deal with the EU.There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0
