The latest in the saga of Catalonian independence:Police to take over polling stations in Catalonia to thwart independence ballot
From an Aussie perspective (*1 for details of the author):I’m in Barcelona, which is making Brexit look boring. The Catalan independence movement is pushing for a referendum on 1 October. The Spanish national government has declared this illegal. The crackdown is creating extraordinary scenes.
In Barcelona and other ports nearby, dockworkers are refusing to offload the cruise ships full of national riot police. The local police have refused to cooperate with national authorities despite getting their funding from the national treasury. The head of the police force became a cult hero after the van terror attack here and is now divided between Catalan independence and the law. National police already arrested leading politicians for their support of the referendum and instigating protest. Postal workers are warned not to handle any vote material.

QUESTION - which of you guys had a background in manufacturing / production?
I am looking at a side line business I can run from my existing business (I have tons of time lol).
Need to know best way to approach the manufacture / supply of quality, durable self-adhesive labels.
Probably start with about 25 differently worded labels.
I initially envisage the labels will be flexible to a degree rather than totally rigid.
3-d printing? Presumably very limited and might not be suitable at all?
Cost is of course relevant. I would not wish to commit to more than a modest order until I see how things go.
Trade mark - I would likely TM the name as the label design wont be unique.
Any thoughts welcome.
Try a library spine labelling machine. They make great labels. Brother P touch. The tape can work out expensive, but the machines aren't these days. The labels are much more professional than the dymo ones, but they aren't raised, if that's what you are looking for.

Yes but my labels aren't raised, they're flat and I found usable compatible cartridges on eBay. Ah yes we are getting a bit off topic here.0

Another post in a lighter vein - and another from the Express for the video: Tusk heads the wrong way after his Downing Street speech.

I read that out to my husband. His response? It will go into corners well, but overall it will suck.

If cars were all powered by electric. The generation capacity in the UK would need to increase by 25% to recharge them. Be a real pain on a windless and cloudy day. :doh:0 -
Assuming the lions share will be charged overnight and under smart demand based tariffs, I'm not at all convinced of that statement.0
