The committee was formed 2015. Just had new members appointed following the GE. This is the first of what will be quite a few of the duties as decided back in 2015.
End of.
You might try to make more of it than that in attempt to further your "Brexit is bad" stance but in reality it is just non-news.
Don't worry too much though, it is widely accepted that many remainers have difficulty accepting reality.
Finis.
No, you're welcome. I'm glad you now realise that I wasn't lying about a select committee inquiry being launched yesterday and your angry response was inappropriate.
In terms of David Davis his performance is very much under scrutiny per the terms of reference.
So in the space of 24 hours his boss is having to intervene directly, his colleagues are briefing in his space and a select committee inquiry is going to be scrutinising his performance.

The powers that were given from the UK government to the EU now return to the UK government. Hardly a power grab.
The two year 'tweaking' period seems fine, it will have to pass parliament like all other laws. That is sovereignty.
If we don't like what the UK government do, we can get rid of them.
If you don't like what the EU leadership do, you can't do anything about it. They have said they are pressing ahead with 'project europe' regardless of what anyone else thinks
What about the stuff that couldn't go to the devolved parliaments because of the EU but are now going to Westminster? Or the ability to modify any laws "for brexit" without running it passed parliament?
What about all the eu regulations we'll have to mirror without any say in them?0 -
Methinks readers of this thread will note the constant attempts by some to provoke unpleasant disagreement.
Just as they will note a distinct lack of contribution other than the aforesaid provocation. Is Britain about to SPLIT the EU on Brexit? May speech could spark pandemonium in Brussels0 -
Meanwhile in Germany:More than a third of German voters undecided before election, poll shows
Whether or not the outcome has any real effect upon Brexit of course remains to be seen. That Merkel will not get an "easy ride" in the forthcoming elections does however look likely.0 -
