  • I remember when Yahoo had its own auction site (way back....I joined Ebay in 1999 and Yahoo auctions were about then). It did as well as Ebay back then. It stopped its UK auction site, though. The US site might still be running.

Ebid is crap. It's been around for years, yet it has never really gotten anywhere. Even QXL was better than Ebid.
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

So please don't feel blue - let us show you how
To talk yourself into a good mood right now.
Feeling sad is no longer allowed,
No matter how worthless you are.
  • Back in the day (we're talking 3-4yrs ago) I managed to pick up some absolute bargains on ebid, even managed to sell a few items successfully.
Several mobile phones, mini disc player, camera etc.

I think nowadays people are missing the point; take advantage of the slow sales as I'm sure there are still bargains to be had.

haha, just reminded me, i looked at the qxl site some weeks ago, what a complete joke it is now.

QXL is ridiculous probably worst than ebid.

Floated on the London Stock Exchange in 1999 for £220m and was even valued at £2.5bn by some not so bright business enthusiasts.

Eventually sold for £12m in 2004.
  • At the end of the day it seems impossible to change peoples' minds on the issue; either folks can see the advantages of using eBid, and therefore they will, or they can't, and they won't.

For some reason the offer has been extended until midnight Wednesday, so either take a look, or don't take a look, it's your choice.
    Why Pay High Fees
on eBay when there ARE alternative sites available?

Thought we had seen the end of this Ebid Spam on here!

At least the multi-username posters arent flooding this thread thanking themselves!

That's exactly what this thread is starting to looking like, another bit of ebid spam because ebid are too tight to pay for advertising.

the owners frequent loads of sites, I have seen them on various forums spamming until they basically get run out of town.

Members get fed up with the constant posts claiming they are all happy sellers raking in thousands of pounds for nothing.

Same person registering many times and having a long conversation with himself about how great ebid is!

    Fools unto themselves.

Why should you need to change people's minds? That job is down to ebid. We can all see the advantages but sadly the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.

They could extend the offer for the next 3 years, who's going to waste £50 on a lifetime subscription that is pretty worthless.
