Delurking to say well done. Your success is well deserved. What a great way to begin life in your new home without any debt having over you. Good luck with your future plans.0

Thanks everyone! Still feels a bit surreal. I think it will sink in when I get my April pay cheque and see the ££s that would have gone to debt go into savings.
I've started to use one of my dormant bank accounts as a small savings account. I've put some money in there that I will use to treat myself to something small. The big indulgent treat will have to wait until we move house as house spends take priority but DF insists I should buy myself something to celebrate. I agree!0 -
So, my (post) debt diary will continue for the foreseeable future as I still need to watch the pennies and stick to a budget. We have moving fees and expenses still to save for and thereafter, we will be combining our finances. Lots of mini financial goals to achieve. Hopefully we can buy too, so there will be the inevitable costs of redecorating etc to cash flow or take from savings.
In other news, its spring so I must get my spring capsule wardrobe out from its under the bed storage hibernation and put my wintery stuff away.
This weekend we are busy with a few social engagements and other bits and bobs. Inevitably it will pass all too quickly and we'll be back at work on Monday!

I think it is MSE Badger who gives those out DSL. Not sure how often he/she checks the debt free roll of honour but hopefully you will get it soon.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
