    Ninth Anniversary
Sorry I have not been posting or reading. My sister died suddenly and in tragic circumstances so in 16 month I have lost 3 members of my immediate family. Just need a bit of time and will try and join in next week.

    Huge hugs Katiecat xx

Didn't do the list yesterday as we all went out to celebrate DS and DD's exam results from last week and this week. Going to do a few bits now before I start work.

Oh goodness katiecat im so sorry - remember baby steps and no rush xxx

Welcome aelene slow and steady wins the race xxx

Errands done, more washing out, kitchen cleaned (again), wind chime made with DD, DS given meds, he is a grot and I think his mood is something to do with a bug. He's not budged off the sofa since 11 and this is the child that never sits still :(

Have also tidied the craft-barf that is my DR. I've allowed the clutter all through the hols, now it's time to tidy it away, there'll be no more time for crafting till they are back in the school routine. It looks better already!

Next stop conservatory - cuppa first!

(((Hugs))) katiecat - so sorry to hear your news x

    Welcome AElene

    So far today I have
    - showered and dressed
    - fed Rosie
    - made 2x vegan chocolate brownies and 2x coffee sponge sandwich
    - had breakfast
    - taken Rosie for a walk
    - packed up a big box of fruit as a thank you for the ward staff
    - sat in the horsepiddle cafe with a church friend who volunteers at the horse piddle and drank coffee while DH ate his lunch
    - waited another hour for DH's tablets and discharge letter to appear
    - brought DH home :D

    Now I have to
    - send some emails
    - move some furniture round
    - make our bed
    - do some washing
    - take Rosie for a proper walk up to the fields
    - feed us all
    - actually relax this evening

Thanks everyone for all your support this week :T

Afternoon all. New whirly gigs are short...lol :rotfl:My old whirly gig was 6ft in height but this new one is only 5ft 3in. Still I suppose I don't have to stretch anymore.. lol

Had some sad news on Thursday after therapy.. Another of my care workers/social worker had passed away. The sad thing is we knew it was due soon but it's still a shock. I'm still numb over it so not sure it's sunk in yet.:(

Washing on line blowing away happily. Have had to hoover downstairs as DH dropped a glass in one of his wobbly moments.

Katie I'm so sorry about your loss honey.

oh my word.. what is wrong with this child? she is headbutting the table to make herself cry for attention despite the fact I have barely put her down for days.. I have so much to do and she is being horrific.. this is full on screaming with rage not just a bit of whining.. wheelie bin it is then, she is clearly broken :p

  • Thanks for the kind words from yesterday.
So sorry to Katiecat. I don't know you (I am new here), but it must be so hard to deal with so many losses in such a short space of time. I hope you have support?
And Pigpen, your patience must be being sorely tested!
I have been ill and doing nothing yesterday and today. I am taking strong antibiotics and hoping to avoid another hospital admission. Last year's 6 is a record I don't want to beat. I had to cancel my plans for the trip to the Tate Liverpool with my friends, but we're going to try again next week.
I looked at today's list and the one thing I don't need to do is make the hair appointment. Mine has just grown back and is likely to go again in October. I have saved a fortune! And the wig stops me having to faff about, you just wash in cold water, give it a shake and it falls back into place. I would have got one years ago if I had known!
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. I will probably not be on here for a day or two, but will restart the doing 5 mins a day as soon as I can. Good advice!

Katiecat so very sorry to hear about your sudden loss. More hugs.

Ionafan glad things are improving for MrI and goodness how do you get so much done still?

Honeybear thanks for some really interesting and - dare I say - inspiring extras on this week's list. I've not done them all but I'm going to keep that list handy.

A rather strange and disorganised week (even by my standards) as I didn't feel that well. I'm blaming the spelt loaf I made on Sat and ate until Tues until I decided that, unlike many wheat-intolerants, I can't tolerate spelt well either. Could be something else as I seemed to alternate between shivers, tired, stomach upset, even more coughing than usual not to mention general apathy and feeling down. Pathetic and annoying as nothing worth going to GP about.
Anyway, managed to do zumba on Tues and Body Attack today although running hasn't happened this week. I've also done a great deal of home office decluttering which I'm really pleased with.
Have also picked loads of fruit, been to Mr L and kept up with dailies although all praise to MrN who is a far better flylady than I'll ever be.
Anyway I even went round with a feather duster de-webbing downstairs today although I daresay they will be plentiful again by tomorrow.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
