cleaning washing machine drawer

Yes I do take it out, I can clean that its actually the bit where the drawer fits into and the water spray holes that are the main problem0

I always use an old toothbrush dipped in a tiny bit of bleach ( do a light wash the next time you use the machine )
The drawer on my machine won't budge! as its a rented property and the machine was here i daren't risk being forceful with it, but if anyone knows the secret of removing a drawer from an Ariston machine i would be grateful. The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -
I use a baby's bottle brush which can be bent to the required angleWeight loss since 01/08/07 - 72 lbs:j0

Get a small brush on a long stem and scrub the holes, a teapot spout brush works well which you can get in those old fashioned hardware shopsI USED TO BE INDECISIVE BUT NOW I'M NOT SO SURE!
Rich people tell you that money doesn't bring you happiness just so the poor people don't feel jealous.0 -
Drawer out and a brush as suggested, then make sure you either only do a cloth wash or just a quick rinse to get the gunk out which will no doubt fall down where the water goes. One day I might be more organised...........

I normally use a toothbrush, its a good idea to use a wire bottle brush at its more bendy, not sure though if it will exert enough pressure to clear the jets0

It usually says in the manual. If you don't have it, try Ariston's website, google 'lost instruction manual' or look here:

Thanks for that.I don't have the original manual. Just checked and for Ariston models over 12 months there is a charge for the manuals. Think i'll just struggle onThe first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. I used to have a washing machine (can't remember what make, it was a while ago) where you removed the drawer by sticking your hand in it and then running your fingers along the top edge at the back until you found a small lever, and then pressing it down. There wasn't really much room to manoeuvre a hand and, with the drawer usually being covered in slimey soap gunk by that point, it was a job I hated doing. It might be worth poking your fingers about in the soap gunk at the back and seeing if there's a similar lever in your Ariston.Eek! Someone's stolen my signature! :eek:0
