I don't think it is for anyone in particular, just as evidence of my work if anyone tries to sue me in future. 6 or 7 yrs seems to be standard for legal stuff, like paperwork for the tax people.

Thanks for all your ideas though. It's hard to explain; the packs consist of some booklets, some loose sheets, some handwritten by student etc so I get those large spine binders to hold each pack together. With a complex student the packs are really thick.

Thanks for all good wishes for my DH. This morning he is showing signs of improvement (like talking to me without me having to prod him first, and talking something approaching sense :rotfl:) so I plan to hoick him out of bed after breakfast. I got nearly 7 hours' uninterrupted sleep last night, so am feeling much better myself too.

The study bedroom is still a tip, but everywhere else is tidy, and I did my QHI last night. Downstairs needs hoovering. Rosie left me a present of a giant spider (sadly deceased) outside the spare bedroom door.

I need to go out for dog food...

    The sun is shining :D

Hope your back is a bit better today, dancemum x

This G00d Housekeeping article came up on my FB page. Of their 50 suggestions for decluttering, I reckon 16 are relevant to me, despite the fact that I thought I was relatively clutter-free! So that's my MAD half hours for the next 3 weeks sorted :D

Catch up later - have a good day everyone x

    Good morning ladies.

De-lurking off my holibobs for a moment to offer hugs, sticks and spoons in abundance for those who need them, especially Mr Ionafan and Dancemum. And congratulations to Bossy on the interview success.

Less than minimal flying here, if that is even possible, so I haven't been posting, but I have been catching up with the thread at "quiet" times. There have been quite a few of those, just as planned!! Flying has been limited to a bit of easy cooking and a quick sweep of the kitchen floor.

Back to lurkdom for me, now, so have a lovely weekend all. X

    Hello :hello:

Thankyou Valli, bossymoo, Ionafan and lynnejk for the praise and encouragement. :)

Overnight I've decided that I don't wish to read one of the books put aside yesterday to be read before going to the cs. So I've put it in the cs bag :T

I've also binned a roll on deodorant that I'm never going to use because it's sticky and I cba to stand like a scarecrow for five minutes waiting for it to dry enough for me to wear clothes!!! And I've put an unused lip balm to one side to give to a friend as she will use it and I won't. That's a tiny bit more clear space on the chest of drawers :) It occurred to me that I am dot-to-dotting my bedroom as a by-product of other flying :T (it's that domino effect again :T)

I've explained the new system of storing clothes in drawers and the wardrobe to DS :o He came down dressed to go out last night without one shout of 'Mum, where's ...' My chaos is organised chaos, so I always have an idea which pile where something is :o He's happy, I'm happy. :T

Glad to hear that Mr Ionafan is improving. Well done, bossymoo on the successful interview.

Hugs, sticks and spoons to be collected as required. I'm going to do my dailies.

I just had a look at the GH link as posted by Ionafan - and there's not a thing there that I need to do!! :T Yes, my bras are ancient, but I still wear them; and yes I have a box with a couple of old mobile phones in, but I'm on a SIM only plan, and the last time my phone died beyond revival, I just fished one out of the box, and that's what I'm using now, so I think I'll hang onto the others. ;) In fact one of them is an original Nokia 3330, which still works. :D

Forgot to say, Roundtuit, the 'docking station' fixes to the wall with two screws and needs to be near a socket, but other than that it's very straightforward. It means it doesn't clutter up floor storage space which is useful, although if you haven't got your power drill and screwdriver handy it'll work if you just leave it on the floor. I got mine from Dyson's outlet on Ebay, so it was considerably reduced in price. I hate paying full price for stuff that ends up at the dump so I almost always go for reconditioned.

You're not posting too much at all. I think the transformation of becoming a Flylady is pretty miraculous because each tiny area sorted leads on to feeling that you're no longer bedevilled by chaos and random unexpected bits of our lives get easier and better. Ionafan suggested I 'dot to dot' in my RoD and it saved me from a complete meltdown. And depite the fact that it looks like a perpetual disaster area that's actually only surface deep now, after dot to dotting until it was finally sorted out properly. It took a little while but it was well worth it and every single improvement meant that area was sorted for good.

MAD today. Spent over half hour having a lovely bubble bath etc.

    *respect*

Have stripped lodger's bed, second load in the WM, and put away all the detritis involved in going to an open-air film show in an English summer (rugs, chairs, umbrellas) and reloaded all the stuff I normally keep in the boot of the car that had to be removed for said detritis for four people to be squeezed in.

We'd booked to have dinner at an excellent nearby pub and I was told it was a 45-55 min wait because they were so busy, but an hour and half later we threw in the towel (one of which I also had in the car). We cancelled the order, got our money back, were given four packets of crisps and eight packets of peanuts so that was dinner last night, followed by a box of Maltezers as pudding the other couple had the foresight to bring with them. We didn't get home until 1.30 this morning, and they've all got horrible hangovers despite only having a couple of drinks.

OH has offered to cook this evening - hurrah!
    Better is good enough.

    Evening,

We've just had a 15min 'put the house to bed' sesh - DD sorted the tray of beads that was in the middle of the floor, DS sorted pens and stuffed animals - don't ask! And I finished the kitchen / dinner stuff.

Have dusted and vacced LR and conservatory today, and done a washload.

    Still to do:
Bash DS. Seriously, if he talks to me like *that* again I shall knock his chuffin block off  he's now on no Xbox / iPad / kindle and no treats tomorrow. Until he learns some manners and learns where the bl00dy kitchen bin is

    And breathe! Lol.

Sending him to bed in 20 min :rotfl:
