I suppose some people are predisposed to behaving that way, they seek the opportunity, but don't "change" until some event or another triggers it.
It's like being at work, the people who would make the best managers rarely get the opportunity, because the role typically attracts people who seek status and the opportunity to lord over others, people who will happily destroy other peoples careers to get that job.0 -
Just remember these situations can escalate very quickly.
I used to cycle nearly 6000 miles a year comuting to work and for pleasure. 3 minutes and a complete muppet in a van changed all that. I managed to hold my own when he got out and attacked me for no other reason than being in his way but did not realise he was psycho enough to drive the van into my head. Nearly half a decade later I am still not quite back to normal but getting there. Believe it or not I actually feel lucky that it can still function.
I don't cycle any more outside of the gym.0 -

What a terrible experience to be on the receiving end of such mindless violence. Indicative of such a bleak, depressing, society. What sort of home does that van driver come from? His whole life governed by an ever tightening vortex of rage, hatred and revenge.
Difficult to have any optimism for the future.0 -

But you've just contradicted yourself there.Strider590 wrote: »The problem is not the vehicle OR money0 -

Sounds like the one who had me round the neck threatening to cave my head in with a hammer. Fortunately the passer by managed to talk him down. I hope you continue to make progress.0 -

Only if your taking things out of context.......
That's like saying that guns kill people.
It requires a certain type of person, with a certain mentality, who is more likely to buy said vehicle and then the vehicle acts as a trigger to enable that side of that persons personality. It's not the car at all, it's the socially derived perception of what the car represents in terms of hierarchy and social class.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
