How to make a copy of CD and Video on computer?

Options
Hello all,

I have a video from a camcorder on a DVD which plays fine when I put it into the desktop computer and I also have an Audio of a recording I made on a DVD which plays fine also on the computer.

But I would like to know how I can make a copy of both the audio DVD and the Video DVD?

Hope someone can explain and exactly what I will need ie the name and link to a specific programe etc?

Insert the CD/DVD and select copy in your CD/DVD software?

What software do you have installed already?

What do you use to play the media? Try that also?

I have windows media player. I have the option to Burn (connect a burner), Sync or play. What do I do?

How would I burn the CD/DVD onto another DVD disk? WHat type of Blank DVD disk would I need that would accept Visual and Audio (links would be great)? If I get a disk that accepts audio and visual could I also burn the disk I have which only has audio on it onto disk which accepts both audio and visual?

you need to rip the video and audio to separate files and then combine with a movie maker like gopro studio. why do you want to burn to disc? can't you just stream the file to the device? dvd died many years ago

Why did I imagine that this question would already have been answered? :)

    Direct link to ImgBurn Download, save and begin the installation. During the installation, you will see this;

    Img_Burn.jpg

Remove the tick, as I have, to prevent the Yahoo Toolbar from being installed. Once you have removed the tick, you can click Next.

Once installed, place the Video or Audio DVD in your machine's optical drive and follow the instructions below.

    1. Follow the 'How to create an image file from a disc with ImgBurn' guide.

    2. Follow the 'How to write an image file to a disc with ImgBurn' guide.

Any blank DVD will do the trick.

If you want to synchronise the video with the audio, that is another thing altogether.
  • Thanks, I have bought some blank discs.

Can you tell me if they will be ok for writing onto them on one disk the Audio only and the other disk the video and audio?

The easiest way would be to take an ISO image of each disc (a single file that is essentially an exact copy of the whole disc), and then burn the image to another disc creating an exact replica.

IsoBuster is a very popular tool to take an image of CDs/DVDs.

And DeepBurner is a very simple tool that can burn ISO images to a new disc:

(The free version does what you need.)

Is there a reason as to why you purchased Dual Layer DVD+R? Is your drive compatible with those discs?
