Used car from dealer fault advice please!

  • hello
I have just purchased a 1.2 petrol Eco Nissan juke from Nissan Dealsership, I normally go for diesels but due to the drop in my mileage I was very reluctant to switch but was told by the car dealer that this would be more economical and suitable for my needs, I also explained to him that I needed to save money each month hence trading in my car against this one. so after long discussions and a test drive I purchased the car on PCP with negative equity against it. I have since only had the car 10 days and have had to put in £70 worth of petrol which by end of the month will leave me £120 a month out of pocket so I feel they have missold me the car based on my requirements I told them I wanted and they assured me it would be better. I have contacted them and they have got the car today to have a look to see if there is a fault on it.

where do I stand with asking for an exchange for the same value but switching to a diesel? if no fault found and also if a fault is found and they tell me they have corrected it then can I still request an exchange.

also how will effect my PCP contract.

any real advice would be much appreciated.

If there's no fault can you prove the salesman told you it would be more economical?
