Delurking just to say that I made my son a watering can put of a plastic 2 litre milk carton, with holes stabbed in the lid. We decorated it with sharpie markers, but I'm sure you could improvise!

    He loves it.

Bless thank you Stoozie! I think was probably what Hidden was talking about when she told me to look in Pinterest! I could definitely make that into a craft project for Friday! Am at work tomorrow and Thursday :(

But don't be too harsh on yourself. Baby steps are the way forward and you're doing amazing!

Right small ones are just into bed, we've had a lovely half an hour playing on the swings and the trampoline. Think I may have annoyed the neighbours with my incessant giggling and the smalls laughter :o. Makes me feel good though that, we can have an amazing time for very little.

But......for todays spends :o Some I can justify, some I can not. Ok so we went to £ land so that Roo could spend his £5, trouble is I felt sorry for May, so let her pick something, and then Roo picked up a baton in a different £ shop for himself, and May's recently broke, so I thought I'd get her one too :o. And I got some shoe polish which i need for Roo's school shoes to be polished up for september. I got some plastic ice cubes, as our ice thing has broken in the freezer, and I never remember nor have room to do normal ice, and I like ice in my rare gin and tonics :o (have I justified that enough yet?!). Then there were some batteries, as half of Roo's toys have run out and he's been asking for ages. I got a school year calendar, as I actually use one to keep us organised with school stuff going on. Then about £7 was spent on craft stuff, as we have none, and I thought it would be a nice thing to do in the holidays when the inevitable rainy day hits, but yes I'm sure I didn't need £7 worth, its because I got the a paint set each, some glitter, some fluffy ball and eyes and scissors etc etc. And as you do, I kept justifying it by saying, well it would be 3 x the cost in H$bbycr@ft next door!

I went into costalot coffee, and used my loyalty card, so no cost there, for 2 babycinnos and an americano :T. Then I made the mistake of going to Primark and spending £25:eek::o. I got a cardigan, as I only have black and navy ones and this one is pink :o a top and a pinafore I've wanted for ages but they haven't had my size...... I forgot to take the other stuff back too:mad:, but I'll do that next week. I have found that I have £10 worth of stuff to take back to Dunelm mill too though.

More bad news today though when I got back, was that my new credit card, when it balance transferred has paid off the lower interest CC in full and left the higher interest one with £1100 on it, not the £700 odd I thought there was left!!! Going to have to pay the £100 DD off that this month too. But will throw my tax rebate at it too, and will hopefully have it paid by 1st November, with wages etc, if I can get a firmer handle on things, then can work at paying off the new CC.

May's trainers came and are a size and a half too big!! not sure how, they're the same make as her other ones but a different style. Very annoying, not sure what she's going to wear tomorrow when she goes out with MIL:eek: Crocks probably, with tights

Have been working out food costs, We can still survive on £10 a week, I'm quite firm on that, and I've been working out how to sustain OH and keep the shopping bill as low as possible when he's home. He eats a LOT, and is always hungry, and I know my stores won't last forever. So I've worked out when stores of fruit run out and OH is home, I THINK, we can live on around £25 a month just for food. That's what I am planning, so we shall see!

Sorry for epic post. just thought I would lay it all out there.

Good morning, have work today, so very little will get done as out of the house for ten hours, small ones are going to mil all day and night, will be v strangely quiet when they're gone :(. Have an appt at the physio at some point in the evening (already paid for) but that's it: I should prob find the enthusiasm to tidy up the tip my house is in. Have packed the small ones bags, and just having a coffee before getting showered and dressed. Gosh working is hard when there's no routine the other part of the week! Will be a no spend day as taking leftovers from dinner for lunch, and biscuits :)
