Does anyone have any ideas of what I could use for bottles?
Also filtering the skittles out of the mixture??
I also cant seem to find any instructions/ideas on how to make labels for the labels. Does anyone have any idea where the thread went?
Thanks
Jen

Hi Ella,
I made the skittles vodka and i put kitchen paper into a sift (*sp) and placed a jug underneath to catch the yummy vodka.

i also wait until everything is disolved before i filter as this gets rid of all the scum which you get on top with the skittles.
Cant help with how long it lasts tho as i gave all mine as gifts last year and they were gone before new years eve lol:rotfl:
what vodka is everyone using this year, i used cheap stuff last year and no one seemed to notice but then again i didnt have any so cant comment on how they tasted.DFW red and green memberDoing my best to lose weight and save money0 -
Another good one to use instead of skittles and gives the same flavour is Asda sherbert fruits, the end product is really delicious, now this one i did try and then had difficulty sharing what was left out between my bottles, whoopsDFW red and green memberDoing my best to lose weight and save money0

Here is a Wiki guide to chocolate vodka (mars bars)
http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Chocolate-Vodka
It says to melt the mars bars on the stove, then add the vodka to that, being careful not to boil. But...for me, that would end up in a flaming mess, so I can't see any reason why I could not do it the other way around and melt the mars bars then add them to the vodka...? Or would hot chocolate + cold vodka = seized chocolate lumps...? I do not have a dishwasher, so can't use that method. We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -

if you add the vodka to the chocolate while still on stove then the vodka would heat up to the chocolate temperature much quicker than the other way round, if you did it the other way round then you would be cooling the chocolate with the vodka so hence hard chocolate again and we dont want that also make sure it doesnt boil as the chocolate will go grainy and the vodka would boil off the alcohol and we dont want that iether lol.DFW red and green memberDoing my best to lose weight and save money0
