I got 97% but when it showed my wrong answers I had actually chosen the correct answer in all but one question (the wheels of the bike.. Silly me was thinking circumference). Good fun tho.
Same happened to me! It said I had 5 wrong but it was only 2 Including the wheels on the bike.0 -

When it shows the wrong answers, it reminds you the answers that you gave not the correct ones.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Pink Shoes, you are working out what the VAT would be on £899 rather than the VAT already included in it.0

Hi, I only managed 90 out of 100 but thought a couple of questions were very ambiguous and really didn't warrant any answer0
-
I also got the VAT question wrong plus the one on probability with the electrical components. Very happy with 98% - which is of course 48 out of 50 - only joking!!!0

If it helps...
If you multiply the failure rate then you get the probability that all components fail.
You need to check the probability that all are OK, which is 100-failure probability percentage, multiplied togetherThanks in advance,

99% and the one they say I got wrong, I don't think I did - I think their English is ambiguous if they want a different answer.0

Laptop+VAT=899
meaning
Laptop + 20% of laptop = 899
or more simply put:
Laptop cost x 1.2 = 899
so
Laptop cost = 899 divided by 1.2 = 749.1666666...
rounding off to nearest 1p, the laptop cost £749.17
Double-check: 20% of that is £149.83, add it on to £749.17 to get £8990 -
I got 87 without a calculator so at 64yrs and a female who is retired not too bad but I obviously need to hone up. But can we have a literary test because I am so fed up with people using "of" when it should be " 've" or "with".0
-
Because you are calculating 20% of the full price but £899 is 120% of the price as it includes VAT0
