hey all
Mr El has now had one procedure ... he has two more ops and a few more tests to go ... but things seem to have settled down again for a while ... so its time to start getting back organised with things0 -
so with all that in mind, I spose I should make my announcement...
on May 19th 2018 Mr El and i had a night away, we spent it on a nature reserve, Mr El kayaked to the island ( i got the ferry) we spent the day kayaking and canoeing and walking amongst the wall to wall bluebells which were just breathtakingly beautiful, as dusk approached we climbed to the summit and watched the sun go down over the Trossachs before returning back to the camp avoiding the deer bouncing everywhere and the bats flying over head, we spent the night around a campfire and looking up to the stars and being greatful for our lives.
We opened a bottle of champagne and celebrated owning our own home, the mortgage is cleared and I couldnt think of a better way to celebrate owning the roof over my head than spending it under the stars surrounded by beauty and the manI loved.
Ladies and Gentlemen the Elantan household is now mortgage free0 -
But that is just the start of the new adventure that awaits us, remember it was 100 months to turn the money situation round. We have overdrafts to pay, a house to repair, savings to have, early retirement to enjoy and adventures to complete.
In a sense i feel a renewed vigor in the whole thing, the slog part one is complete so I feel ready to take on part two, we have a holiday to go to in July but as soon as that is over we will need to put the mortgage money into wills and house repairs, but they will need to come after the overdraft and credit cards ... Mr El will need to try and curb his new found love of anything that goes on water... he is now looking at canoes... I keep reminding him we plan on moving so where will he keep them, he listens for all of five mins then goes and looks at more lol0 -
