I do understand why some of us get upset, but I think the key is to just sort the competitions by thread START time, it only takes a second and it means you can work through the comps until you get to the last one you entered and not have to worry about whether people have replied or not.

Good idea. Can you give me some guidance on how to do that. I went into advanced search to try and do it but couldn't get it to work. If I manage to suss it out with some help I will definetely do that from now on.

Thank you and well done - the amount of bumped posts today has been silly, so i really do hope those new (and a few regulars) take note - i dont mind a bit of banter or comment, but a sudden thanks for a comp posted days/weeks ago isnt really necessary!!!
:T :T i agree loads of times i was looking at new comps then 10 ending nows turn up on the thread.it aint reallyon ,we try to say to the new1s start at the end and go foward, please guys dont do it
Replies to posts are always welcome, if they are done in the correct manner. If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you

This is it - you are here :D I've been entering comps for about 10 months now and I've had very few calls.
  • I've been entering since last June & this year alone have won £1,600 worth of prizes but have had very few phone calls, just use the opt out buttons on each page!

Go down to the bottom of the main comp page and under display options there is a drop down menu for Sorted by, click on Thread start time and click Show Threads. HTH

I do this and it makes things much easier!
    :D....It's nice to be nice.....:D

I have treid do searches before and maybe i do it .Take yesterday for example i did do a search for one of my post (snapjacks) i did not find any thing, but if you look i have had some people saying thanks for posting etc, & others say they have entered before etc.
I think some people may not of seen/ found the orig post like me, nor have they seen the SAID NEW POSTING TO?

SO CAN YOU GUYS PLEASE PUT ME RIGHT ON WHAT HOW TO -
CHECK THE POSTING BEFORE I/WE DO. I also have been looking on the likes of KIPPER''S (one of a few) COMP POSTING LIST (OF WHICH I WOULD LIKE TO SAY A BIG THANK YOU TOO) If i dont see/found it here after also checking/searching i make a post.

Like i say i do want your help and i am more than willing to except your advice.

    On the other hand.
Life is very busy for me at the moment. So I miss loads of comps because so many are put on here. If someone actually replies with a thanks and bumps it, then I get to see a comp I may not have done before, ie not on the forum that day. However I do check my thanks before entering

If you could search by end date of competition this would be SO much easier.

When I've spotted in the past people doing that, I've pm'd them, and suggested that they Subscribe to the thread to keep a check of what they have entered, Most have responded well, and once shown what to do are happy to do it that way, as they didn't realise what they were bumping the thread.
