On my online banking screen there's a blue strip on which is typed 'Open another bank account with us - perfect for managing monthly bills'. As I already have 3 Vantage accounts, I don't really want to waste the time applying if somebody else has!

I'm pretty sure you can only have 3 BOS vantage accounts in your name - if you already have the maximum, I would think they will allow a 4th account but not allow vantage to be added to it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. I have seen the message as well and I will ignore it as I don't want to draw attention to my BOS and Halifax accounts.0

Plenty of institutions sloppy IT allow accounts to be opened when their T&Cs say they shouldn't.
In fairness, Colsten is working within the T&Cs but I agree about keeping a low profile as (like many of us) may not really be in keeping within the spirit of current accounts in using them for interest benefit only.0 -

Yup, especially as there are occasional reports on this forum of people having their Lloyds group accounts closed.0
