I expect it's down to cost.0

Most of the small white envelopes I receive for survey posting must be ancient as the self sealing coating had completely dried up so they have to be sellotaped down.
i don't really know why I,m still doing this survey after so many years. habit qi guess as I,ve acquired nearly £400 worth of old style stamps qi,ve recently had to swap and I haven't yet redeemed any of my unaddressed mail and correctly delivered rewards either. I,m trying to simplify my life and hardly ever use stamps except for Christmas and a birthday cards .
i get the impression that Kantar are probably running these surveys for Royal Mail on a shoestring whixh explains hy supplied items like envelops & sellotape are of low grade quality.

Primrose, I think you're right about the survey being run on a shoestring.
I enjoy doing the survey as it encourages me to go out and get a bit of exercise. And I'm lucky that I can access free wi-fi - a bonus as my mobile is PAYG.3 -
Does anyone have any idea how long the battery lasts in a RFID? (Keep wanting to call it a SMART).1

I quite enjoy the survey, as mentioned it gets me out of the house and as there's a post box at the top of the road, and the SO for sacks can be combined into a trip to town, it's not too much of a hassle for me. Plus the stamps are handy for fleabay items.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I always push the polystyrene square to the bottom of the cube, to keep the square frame of the cube. I also fold in the corners so each one overlaps on one side and underlaps on the other, so keeping closed without needing any sellotape at all.
see here where they call it a complicated fold: https://www.youmoveme.com/articles/the-best-way-to-fold-and-tape-a-moving-boxI'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
