Thanks all.
Yes you can, just log it on your list of Post Boxes using the code on the info plate and it will then show as different to the actual counter inside.

Same here ! I think you can use any local box in your immediate area as long as it's listed as one of your identified boxes on your posting selection.
our nearest box has a 9 am collection. The box outside our post office has a 5 pm collection. This week I had two items to mail - an am and a pm item on the same day so used the 5 pm collection box outside the post office to post them at the same time.4 -
I had the same debacle with the parcel post box last night, where I put it in the slot, opened it again to make sure it had gone, and it was still there! The only way I could get it to fall into the post box was to turn it into a large letter (by squashing it flat), which seems to defeat the purpose.
I decided to try and investigate what the problem was because it’s not the size, as the cubes are less than the dimensions stated on the RM website. However, there seems to be a hinged flap which moves down when the parcel box is closed again and this relies on the parcel being of a sufficient weight to operate the hinge. Clearly, the cubes are the weight of a feather and so are completely unsuitable for posting in a parcel post box.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j3 -

I have some sticky tape marked "Fragile" and it's surplus to requirements. Would it be acceptable to use it when making up the cubes? It is much stronger than the Sellotape I normally use.

Thanks jwil.
I find Sellotape poor for sticking, whereas the 'Fragile' stuff is very strong. Just wondering if I can use it, or if I should stick to what we're sent.0 -
I don't have a problem with the tape they have sent me but I do ensure that it goes right round the box in both directions, lapping over itself and that all otherwise open edges are covered.1

I have never had a problem with the tape supplied but I do ensure all open edges are covered. I know from receiving cubes not all panellists do this.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
