I have received a card today saying an item has been unable to be delivered because there is a fee to pay. TNS help page say reimbursement would be made in stamps. Is that correct?
I would have thought the £2 charge would be replaced as L2S vouchers.
What has happened to people in the past?

BUT you can (should?) "PAY" in stamps

I presume you received one of these

    ... towards the bottom

    WITH POSTAGE: AFFIX STAMPS ................ to the correct value overleaf and post this card;
    ..... we'll arrange delivery.

    It's £2 ... so ...

    2 x 1st class LARGE Letter stamps @ £1.01 = £2.02

    OR

    3 x 1st class Normal letter stamps @ 67p = £2.01

You choose - presume you have plenty of both.

    For your info
How are the fees worked out?
If your item had insufficient postage or no stamps attached, a flat rate fee will be charged as follows:

    • Letters/Large Letters - no postage paid - £2 flat fee
    • Letters/Large Letters - insufficient postage paid - £1.50 flat fee
    • Small Parcel - underpaid/no postage paid - £3 flat fee
    • Medium Parcel - underpaid/no postage paid - £1.50 plus incremental postage rounded to the nearest 10 pence

    Hope this helps

AND as per the help section on the TNS Postal Platform ....

I got a card from Royal mail telling me that an item had insufficient postage and that I have to pay a surcharge. Will you reimburse the cost?

Yes, and we're sorry that you received this charge for a survey item. Please send us a message and we will reimburse you the charge in 1st Class stamps.

If this happens again, please let us know before you go to collect the item - we'll send you stamps to stick on the card left by Royal Mail, and if you post it they will redeliver the item for you.

When you log the item, please confirm the postage value as "other".

    Cheers

Has anyone had a message to say TNS want you to ring them to discuss an item I posted. I did call and was expecting a call back from whoever was dealing with it but no one called.

It says to contact them before you collect the item but how you can you be sure it's a test item unless you've picked it up?! I get quite a few parcels!

I don’t get that many parcels from purchases. Im not expecting anything & most letters are bills or from bank. So majority of post is survey items.

Thanks for the heads up. I haven't seen that in mine yet and I wonder if that refers to both the paper vouchers and the plastic gift card from Love 2 Shop? In my local SD they've had issues with the card version for as long as I can remember and could only accept them at 1 till because the device readers at other tills were broken!! or that's what they said anyway. :(
On a brighter note I was in an M&S last weekend and asked if they'd take Love 2 shop vouchers for my sales shop and they do!!:j They take them for everything :T
This may be old news to some but I've been refused at some smaller M&S stores but the SA who served me last weekend said they probably just didn't know how to process them!! :o

Thanks Anvil1 for information on Superdrug - shame as they were one place I used them regularly.

Also thanks girlchops telling us that M&S will accept - news to me. Wonder how the SA will react when presented with a large number of £1 L2S to process!

Was due to go back on the survey in September and once again nothing turned up. Today I received my first posting pack, with no idea I was back on. I have no idea what goes on at TNS:rotfl:
