That's a bit unfair for you, at least I got 4 and a bit months, maybe they will restart us before the 6 month break to make up for it.

I've just completed training again with my first live postings next week and my welcome pack has a wee note saying



...on this occasion your period on the survey will be shorter than usual, lasting around three to four months. We'll let you know when it is due to end. You will then take the normal six month break.


I really don't mind as it hopefully means fewer cubes and parcels to take to a Post Office.

I had a similar thing happen to me. They were going to finish me after 4 months. I said I thought this was unfair. They said sometimes the panelist is being given a slot that has been left vacant because they have removed the former panelist and you are then completing the remaining months hence the reason for the reduced time on the survey.

However my persistence paid off and they immediately put me back on the live panel for a further 6 months.

Does anyone know what they send out at Christmas? I'm debating whether to stay or leave before then. I've restarted after a break of a few years and am finding that they expect a lot more this time. Last week I had 3 parcels that wouldn't fit through my letter box and required 3 separate pick ups next week they want me to send items on 4 different days which is quite inconvenient. I work full time so I already ignore the times they want me to post and either do it before or after work. Also out of interest has anyone ever received the golden smart? Thanks

After receiving and posting two letters this is what I got.

In the next phase panellists send ‘live’ test items which feed into the data we provide to Royal Mail. The survey has to meet specific quotas and we will assign a panellist to a live slot only when we have the best possible match between their postcode and the wider requirements of the survey measurement in that area. While we wait for such a match to be available where you live we will pause your participation and get back to you as soon as we can. Meanwhile, you are now eligible to take part in our short-run Royal Mail Correctly Delivered Survey, and we will be in touch when it is next taking place in your postcode area. You’ll find more information in the ‘Survey Guides’ section on Postal Platform. And this is after a 3 and a half year break!!

That's fairly normal. The last two times, I've been put on hold during or just after the training stage. Then been put back on the live survey 2 of 3 weeks later.

In the unaddressed survey is there a dummy item each week to declare as not received ?

I don,t know about a dummy item but on the last two occasions there has been one item out of each of my batches that was missing.
