In my last 4 weeks of posting now - can't say its been fun, way too many parcels when I don't live near a post office (I've been doing the main survey for 5 years and this has been the worst). If it was still possible to do the unaddressed mail and correctly delivered surveys then I'd refuse to come back next year but, as it is, its both or neither. Just got my December stamps and should be receiving my end stamps in two weeks so at least I'll have plenty to keep me going until next April :)

Is that so? I sort of told myself last time round that I'd not sign up again but keep doing the surveys if I could. For pretty much the same reason - more cubes than before and it requiring a bit of planning to get to a post office on the right day. Well, an acceptable post office... I work in a different postcode to where I live. Not helped by the one I used to go to on the way home from work reducing the opening hours.
I need to think of something new here...
  • I haven't been on the main panel for some time now but still doing unaddressed and correctly delivered. Easy and a £5 L2S voucher at the end.

Never heard of anyone being able to just do those surveys - are you still waiting to be invited back to main panel?

My understanding is that you can do the other surveys whilst resting from the main panel...but once you resign from the main panel you will not be eligible to do the additional surveys.
You are also invited to the surveys whilst active.

you cannot do the surveys on a stand alone basis.

Sorry misunderstood what the person was saying, yes I am still waiting to be invited back to active status
  • When i previously resigned from the main panel, I was still getting invitations to the correctly delivered one. I have been back doing the main survey for almost two year now, so that might have changed. I am about to resign again -because I don't think it's worth the hassle for the stamps - but I will be asking to stay on for Unaddressed and correctly delivered - will let you know what they say.
It might depend on where you live and how much they need someone to do the other surveys..

From now until 11th November you may find differences between your printed posting plan and the online schedule for certain items. This is because we will no longer be using brown envelopes after this date.

The differences you will see until 11th November Items allocated as brown envelopes on your posting plan will show as white envelopes in your online schedule. This applies to both the Large Brown (C4) and Medium Brown (C5).

    What you should do

If your posting plan shows a brown envelope prepare and post it as usual. Use the Item Number to find it on the online schedule and enter the sender data as usual, even if the item is shown on the online schedule as white.

If you receive a brown envelope from another panellist, please record it as white.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this sudden change. If you have any questions or need assistance please contact our Helpdesk.
Now forgive me for being a bit simple but why can't they just be small (DL), medium (C5) and large (C4) envelopes ? I have never had difficulty identifying the differences between large and medium browns so I very much doubt I would find it difficult sorting large, medium and small "envelopes". TNS do seem to have a way of making things difficult. ;)

I haven't taken part in the main panel for some time now but I still do the unaddressed and correctly delivered.
I did not resign as such but go for the " not right now " option when invited on to the main survey.
