The website seems to have had an update & there is now a message about entries for a future survey for both UMS & CDS. However I was still doing a UMS ending this weekend & now no info. on that at all!

    Hi red

No update that I can see.

What does the message actually say?

When you click on to UMS from the dashboard it now shows this message above the entry dates

The period selected is in the future so at present you are unable to complete the questionnaire for this period. Please retry on or after the selected date in order to complete data entry.

    Week I - (01 Oct 2018 - 06 Oct 2018)

    MON

    01 Oct 2018

I had just logged in to check the final week for the current survey ending this week but nothing still listed for that - instead the above with a new layout for entering info.

I've been trying for a while now to convince them to offer options other than L2S vouchers. I'm housebound now, so I just do the surveys where you tell them what mail you've received. The problem is, the reward is a voucher I can't spend online, so I was basically doing the work only to end up giving the reward away.

Would other folk mind sending them a message, maybe asking them to offer something that can be spent online as an alternative to the L2S vouchers for those who want them? I suggested Amazon vouchers, since that's what the majority of survey sites offer, but I honestly don't mind where it's for as long as I can actually spend the bloomin' thing. :p

I suspect I'm getting ignored since it's just me whinging at them, but I was hoping if a few more folk ask them they might listen. :)

    Hi red

It doesn't make sense really - other than that the link is for an "illegal" time frame!
(When you should have one for this week/last week/week before that ?)

AND there is a similar/identical one for Correctly Delivered ?

I CAN'T click on CDS - NO link - finished that survey a week or 2 ago.

I DO have a UMS link - that appeared for me last Monday (maybe Sunday) - I START this NEXT Monday - on 1st Oct (from accepting an invite on 3rd Sept)

Clicking on UMS is perfectly normal for me and identical as seen previously.

I did receive a "proper" message which did differ somewhat from the reminder I've had before.

Previously it was just - "Hello, Just a reminder - the Unaddressed Mail survey starts this coming Monday. If there's anything you're not sure about, please visit our Help section. Thanks for taking part!"

this time it also included - "Please keep hold of any unaddressed mail you receive during the coming week, noting on each the day it was received, just in case a measured item is delivered to you early. This could be a circular, leaflet, free newspaper or item addressed just to ‘The Householder’ or ‘The Occupier’ – anything that doesn’t have your name and address on it. If you recognise any of the items you’ve saved amongst the images displayed when you start data-entry next week, please then confirm them as received.

It looks like your current UMS entry period has somehow become corrupted - worth contacting TNS I think

    Cheers

I also use my presentation pack stamps for postage - they aren't worth anything more than face value for quite a long time so may as well get some use out of them.
Most aren't worth more for years - just because collectors get them on pre-order. A few do crop up on eBay quickly if they are in demand from non-stamp collectors as well e.g the Dr Who, GoT and classic albums. Expect a surge in a couple of weeks when the next Harry Potter set appears. But it's also quite random as to whether you get the latest PP from TNS or just whatever they had in stock.
I also gift close family a pack of 1st class stamps in their Christmas cards every December - always appreciated at that time of the year :)
You must be one of those organised types who get their cards out early then...
I need to think of something new here...

I don't have an issue with the gift vouchers they send but find the book of LARGE stamps they send out completely useless as I think in all the time I've been doing the surveys I've only ever had cause to use one of them. I'm sure they would find more favour with users if they provided Second Class stamps instead which would at least be useful for Christmas cards and paying bills. (I never pay any bills using a First Class stamp !!)

Perhaps that would be more useful lobbying for? What do others think?

    I agree, Primrose.

Have tried using the large parcel stamps at the local Post Office several times. However, if sending parcels by recorded or special delivery, they refuse to accept them saying that they have to use their own 'special' stamps.

I even emailed the P O for clarification, and they said I was right, I usually end up selling them on Ebay.

I think I've only used the large stamps for their intended purpose once or twice. I did use up a whole book of them on a parcel, so it sounds like your PO are just playing silly beggars and couldn't be bothered working out how many you needed to use.

I suspect I'll just end up using them in place of a normal stamp when the normal ones run out (which will probably be a while considering how many I still have).

Maybe it's time for them to survey participants and get opinions on what people like/don't like?

Personally, I would prefer more of the large stamps, they are just right for some of the items I sell on eBay.
