Hi ziggy2407
Welcome and yes you can. Hope you use shopmium too and some of the receipts apps like shopprize and shoppix.
Thank you for the warm welcome, I'll definitely be looking into the others you mention as not heard of them.Goodreads 2025 Challenge :16/75

Gosh - this is an early start for me
I know what you mean KM - it does tend to make you keep on your toes eh :rotfl:
Good for a lazy person like me though as provides the proverbial kick up the derriere
Ooh - gently dropped in there Aesop - what's with the moving ??- another bad trait is wanting to know what's happening
Back laters

hello I did wonder why you were on so early :rotfl:
I been mentioning since May here and there lol we have to move. Landlord is selling the house, and will offer to let us buy but I refuse as there is far too much wrong with that needs fixing and I personally would like to move away from this area. Every week we are in local news for fights, stabbings and more in the area where I live. I literally walk down the road and there are gang fights etc.0 -
Lovely but surprising to see you posting on here so often in one morning, Aesop, when it's the school holidays and I know you are usually fully occupied with ensuring your son has a good time.0

I got a lot of stuff to do at home today and asked DS if we could not go out today. weather is horrible so means another day of indoor activity, so I have promised we will do more thur and frid and probably sat and sun.
I am on the postal surveys and behind on my stuff, so need to get organised.
also a lot of other home stuff going on.0 -

Sounds really scary and obviously not a good environment for your son:eek:
I hope you manage to find a lovely place in a great location that doesn't cost the earth:beer:. How much notice do you have before you need to move, or does it depend on the landlord selling the house first which might take many months? There isn't much of anything going on in my sleepy neck of the woods (and thankfully that includes gang fights and other crimes) but at least properties are cheap to buy and I presume also to rent.0 -

Landlord has given us a year from May but DH wants to move out before then. we have his DD wedding in May so he doesn't want the added stress. where i live even makes the national papers :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
where we are thinking about rent will be higher but thats normal around here. will just have to sort life to deal with it0 -

I've listed a few things on eBay and gumtree so excited to see how they go. I've joined up to some of the apps mentioned too.
I have loads of dvds and cds I need to go thro. Has anyone any advice on best place to make some money from these? I know most places give you very little for them but I'd like to make space!
Thanks!
If you have a CEX shop nearby it's worth checking online what they'll pay you - they'll show you two prices, one for cash and one for a voucher to spend in their store

I suppose schooling for DS is a major consideration or are you hoping to find somewhere nice but still within reach of the same school (if he's happy and settled there)?
Sorry, I'm asking a lot of nosy questions today:o but I'm really interested as well as doing my bit for the 1000 posts challenge;).0
