Well done to all the moneymakers:T:j. Great results from everyone:beer:.

Mike, getting screened-out of surveys after answering what seems like a lot of questions is par for the course I'm afraid:mad:. Maybe it was just that particular site you were surprised it happening on but in general it's the bane of many a survey-takers life . At least with Prolific we know when we're eligible at the outset and definitely won't be screened out part way through:j

Just received £5 cashout via Paypal from Pinecone:j. Nothing else to report from the past few days:(

I'd be very interested to know what you discover. Good Luck:beer:. It might not be the same problem as my old laptop but that one suddenly died too.. It was working perfectly one morning and when I tried to boot it up later nothing whatsoever happened. It wouldn't even work when plugged into a socket and the green light was on the adaptor/transformer thingy (you can tell I'm a real techy can't you:rotfl:) so there was power getting to that but the laptop was as dead as a dodo. The power light on the actual laptop wasn't lit up though so I was baffled.

It was pretty old and secondhand when I bought it so it didn't owe me anything moneywise but it was a pain as I had no way of retrieving files etc stored on there. Or is there a way???? I haven't a clue:o. . I didn't feel it was worth the expense of investigation and repair when I was quoted a ridiculous price  so I bought a cheap new one just to get online again and so far it's served me very well. Much faster than the other one:j. I'd still like to get back stuff from the old one that I didn't want to lose though.

Any advice will be most welcome:beer:

Ds got sent a stunt scooter with argos. Considering he treated his normal scooter as a stunt scooter you would think he would love this one.

It's too heavy...... Yes it has to be to take the pressure of you throwing it around, jumping on it etc

Thanks. Will give that a look asap:A

The dead one is an old Dell Latitude (will have to check model number) running Windows 7. The new one is a HP Stream running Win 10. Is that any help?

Did he get to keep it or did you have to return it? I once bought a heavy-duty shopping trolley from their Clearance section to help with my phone book deliveries and I'm sure someone had been doing stunts with it:rotfl::eek:
  • Forgot to say earlier:o, great news about getting rid of your car at last:T. Shame it's for less than you'd hoped but at least it's out of the way now. It's always sad when a trusty old 'friend' goes though isn't it? I get ridiculously attached to my cars:o but I keep them so long they're like members of the family:rotfl:

You may find it difficult to connect but in theory they should connect and talk to each other.
