yes Mrs Cautious, add it in . it's money you didn't have before.
got to run to make dinner but back laters
Thank you.
In that case I'm adding £400. It's an unusual one I know. I'm very grateful to my mother in law who has given me this money. It's going straight to a joiner who is mending my stairs. I'm paying the other half. I won't dwell in the fact she originally said she'd pay for all of it. It's very, very good of her. I feel a bit of a fraud adding this as it's not like it's an idea anyone can make use of- unless inspiration strikes to say 'why don't I ask a relative for money I don't have to pay back' my father in law died recently and she wanted to help us. xx
Edited to add £3.50 for a Buy it now on eBay. I have taken off £10 that I refunded an eBay buyer earlier today.0 -
Today has been one of those days! I feel mentally exhausted, and incredibly stressed. The car wouldn't start this morning, my wife had strapped our 3 yr old into her car seat, gone to try and start the car and it wouldn't start. Assuming there was a problem with the key fob, she went back in doors to get the spare key, closing her car door behind her (with phone on the passenger seat - bearing in mind we don't have a landline). The car locked behind her, and neither key fob would work to unlock the car. Bear in mind she's 8 months pregnant, I was at work miles away and she was running late for a midwife appointment. She also had no access to a phone. Fortunately our 3 yr old managed to get herself out of her car seat, climb through into the front of the car and open the car door from the inside - RELIEF!
Anyway, RAC came out (first time we've ever had to use them) 2 days after I almost cancelled our membership with them, charged us £128.99 for a new battery because the old one was completely drained and wouldn't re-charge, and then proceeded to tell us that further diagnostics indicated there is still a fault and we'd need to get it to a dealership within the next 24 hours before the new battery drains completely.
Have it booked in to be looked at with somebody on Wednesday, earliest available, but dropping it off tomorrow and will ask them to disconnect the battery straight away to avoid it draining whilst it's sat not being looked at. All in all a day I could have completely done without!
Still, an extra £1.30 worth of PA studies done this evening, and a little bit of cash from matched betting which I'll update later tonight to help ease the pain
Hope everybody has had a better day than me!0 -

Ah - that all sounds awful and stress you could do without. Puts my day in a bit more of perspective, although I didn't have a good day either.
My weekend was really busy and got behind on chores and life admin completely. Was hoping to catch up today a bit, but it turned into another crazily busy day. This morning I arrived 5 mins after someone was knocked down in the road (they since closed the road) and I feel awful for them/family and made me feel a bit weird whilst I had the little one in the back.
Then later the little one got a bit upset over something relatively minor and then was talking to someone else who was saying that they had decided not to go back to work as they just couldn't imagine leaving their child with someone else - someone else then chipped in saying they did that and was the best thing they ever did. So on top of whatever I was feeling before, I now feel really guilty that I have to go back to work in the New Year as I can't afford not to work at all (although the reason for this challenge is to try to go part time in a year or so to spend more time with him). Spent the whole evening cuddling the little one and giving him 100% attention, although feeling like a failure today, particularly as my phone slid off the sofa and hit him on the head, so feel guilty about that too(he was fine and cried for only about 20s).
Definitely need to get a grip on myself tomorrow!

I'm sorry to hear of this happening to you. But I have news that might be of benefit to you and anyone else expecting. Please do give the website Bzz Agent a try, I recently was filling out some qualifying surveys and one was about am I pregnant? (i'm not) or do I know anyone pregnant or with a baby (I do) and it turns out they need product testers for various baby products on the way.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

Don't ever feel guilty for doing what you need to do. I personally stayed home with mine but I have friends who went back to work both full time and part time for financial reasons or for reasons of keeping their sanity!
As Lynnejk said earlier it's 'horses for courses' and everyone is different and you are doing what you need to for your family. Sending big hugs your way xxx£10 a day April - £4/£3002014 £110.92 2015 £3732.30 2016 £1633.66 2017 £2991.70 2018 £3255.40

Hi All
I mentioned this guy before, I have worked with him for a few years, worked in the sense I send him my used stamps and he pays me.
DCD Philatelics
45 Wiltshire Lane
Pinner
HA5 2LY
the current purchase price is £10 per kilo.
I usually send him a DL envelope of stamps and he also reimbuses your postage, so it doesn't make me a millionaire but it all adds up.
He doesn't like dog hair, cat hair, stamps that have been smoked around, etc.
So just be aware, a used postage stamp of any envelopes is fine. As always leave 1 inch around the edge of each stamp, on every side.
When sending include your email and mobile or phone number. He can then contact you to arrange payment. He pays promptly and notifies you by email when he has paid.
dcdstamps@aol.co.uk that's his email and facebook page is

Thank you for posting this again Aesop. I keep meaning to do this but never seem to get round to it :rotfl:
Do you really need to leave an inch all round? That seems a lot and if so I think most of the stamps I have saved will be trimmed to closely£10 a day April - £4/£3002014 £110.92 2015 £3732.30 2016 £1633.66 2017 £2991.70 2018 £3255.40
