I'd love a second wardrobe, but for now have a clothes rail. The only drawback is that clothes you don't wear often can get dusty. I bought some garment covers from Amazon to solve this problem.
Your wooden clothes rail sounds nice. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Finely chop an onion and cook it gently till soft in a saucepan, after a few minutes add some diced peppers. Once the onion is soft add veg stock cube and cup and a half of hot water per person. Stir to dissolve and then add a cup of couscous per person. Stir, put the lid on and turn the heat off. Pan fry the salmon till it's cooked through. You can add lemon zest, finely chopped tomatoes and mint to the couscous before you serve it. Sprinkle some lemon juice over the salmon and couscous and it's ready. The recipe sounds lovely.
I fully understand the need for shiny new notebooks and try really hard to use what I already have. My bullet journal goes across calendar years and has a lot of pages left, so I've just designed a cover page for the new year.
Also feel the need for a new diary and struggling to decide whether to stick with the other place and here. I'd prefer the less public setting, but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere.0 -

Thanks people - and a happy new year to all of you too.
MrsC know what you mean, I do read yours but rarely log in to comment as mine got deleted again which was quite frustrating. I did the alter ego here so my mother didn't spot it and fret, not that there is anything to fret about now.
I spent today doing a bit more clearing, making a bad batch of dough that didn't rise, and clearing the ironing pile - a New Year's Eve tradition that dates back to the early days of flying. I've also been working my way through some recipe books, writing down recipe, book, page number for things I want to make in the coming weeks so I can actually make a shopping list. I might even remember to check the list in the shop for once. I usually can't remember what recipe I wanted said item for either, so the list makes sense.
I've thought of some aims for January and for 2018 but I will post those tomorrow. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Thanks, redo. I've decided to start a new diary where my current one is now, because mse is just too big for me to keep up with (with the exception of your diary and the flylady thread, which I'm considering rejoining - again).
I'm not even anywhere near clearing the washing mountain, so any ideas of having clear baskets for the new year went out of the window. I have, however, cleared and organised a small area of the kitchen. DH can now find baking ingredients and will hopefully stop buying multiples of things we already have in the house.
One of us may have to bake for DS2's lunch box to reduce the stash a bit.
ETA Thank you for 'stopping by' - that and the cheering are much appreciated!0
