My last week at current work and it is looking like it will be a very busy one so I am trying to prep in advance so we don't live on takeaways.
yesterday I made chicken, chorizo and mixed beans. It didn't quite go to plan as one of the very much in date chorizo was growing green and yellow mould. Thanks for that Lidl!
I also made the thrifty Lesley lentil, peanut butter stuffing loaf for lunches. And in the knowledge that it is likely to be stressful, I made millionaires shortbread so I can feel sick as well as stressed. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

My cousin sent xmas puddings which arrived yesterday. Looked at them today and they're growing mould. I won't tell her of course, but have warned the family that we need to source alternatives (while remembering to tell her how delicious they were).1

You're not having much luck with mould and foodstuffs at the moment! what a pain about the puddings AND the chorizo!
I used to like Thrifty Lesley's site for recipes but haven't thought to look there for inspiration for a while - must make a mental note to do that.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Today we had variations on couscous so a good result.I wish I could fast forward to Friday with all of the work things done.
I have vaguely addressed the buying stuff for festivities problem. I might even wrap them at some point. Decorations v minimal as usual - no tree. Might pick one up on my way back from dropping laptop and phone off on Friday. If they are a £1 I BnQand I can find some anti histamines for my annoying allergiesMy mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
