Big shiny birthday present for me last week, and big birthday present for him this week together with car tax and 2 x ten driving lessons mean that I will probably have to Take Some Cash Out of Savings. Deeply traumatised by this concept and wish I had resisted when mr redo positively insisted that for once I would have a proper present. It is (very) shiny, but so are the savings. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
