You're going to be busy planting a million plants Redo. I'm looking forward to seeing "Ordeal By Innocence", I hope it's as good as "And Then There Were None."

I'm not going for the plant offer - the greenhouse is still in bits and I wouldn't fit everything in the growhouse. Plus I'm away quite a bit in April/May.
I still have 9 pots to plant from last week's purchases, and my brother should be bringing some more back from my mum's this weekend (I forgot them, which is probably a good thing, hopefully this way they will arrive after the existing lot have been planted).0 -
Checked and was low on compost so nipped to MrL and got 20 litres of plant and basket compost for £1.49. It has the water retaining gel stuff already mixed in which should help.
The sun was out, even if it wasn't very warm. Soil still saturated so I did some very aggressive pruning with the big loppers round the boundaries. Garden looks much bigger but what to do with all the off cuts? Its another six foot diameter pile.
I made the beef massaman curry again, looks after itself on the hob so a good choice. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I much prefer ordeal by innocence as a book too, there are actually some likeable characters. Will keep an eye out for it.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I have the chin problem already, that started at 40. I resisted the purchase, its an unnecessary spend and I don't actually have a real income other than the tax efficient trickle from the business. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Still resisting spending but the urge to do so is burning bright. I am not buying plants, at least until there is a clear space ready for them.
List is:
1. Raspberries - summer and autumn. £shop or wilkos had them last year
2. Strawberries - have seen in MrL at £3 for six plants
3. More anti-histamines (urgent and essential, think its the Fatsia Japonica this time). I've got a couple of days worth but need to buy some cheap ones next time I am in a town.
The ground is still saturated so no digging, but more kamikaze pruning done and another huge pile of prunings that will not fit in the very full green waste bins. I am debating paying for another green bin but at £24 a year it seems like a lot of money. I need to get the compost heaps up and running again as some of it could go in there if its layered in nicely.
SS has started to move his stuff out. We can actually see the floor in his room. Trying to decide what to do with the bedroom now, but whatever we decide it frees up some space to move things around. Its rather damp so the dehumidifier is in and running. I don't think he had opened the window in years, and the blind is broken so that needs replacing. Heart stopping moment when former stray cat decided that this was a new door and attempted to leave via the window and the huge Camelia outside.
Chicken curry (jar sauce MrAl Dopiaza, quite nice actually with freezer stash chicken), and freezer stash naan bread and lentil dhal for dinner. Cracked open the 'free' mint vianetta which wasn't as bad as it sounds. SS took a big bag of his stuff out of the freezer too which opened up even more space, hurrah.
Forecast is for rain, hope not. Want to dig but can't till it dries out a bit.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

A productive couple of days so far, and well done on resisting buying plants :T. I succumbed to a pack of six Violas from the market today for £1.80

I like the idea of raspberries. A plant looks look it costs the same as a punnet and they won't be sprayed. Do you get much off them? When is it too late to plant them?If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
