Morning Mrs S, hope you manage to get the toys sorted, you made me think of this quote when you were talking about cleaning up around yur children -

'Cleaning up with children around is like shovelling snow during a blizzard.'

    That is so true :rotfl:

I've followed the flylady and most jobs are already done.

I've finally heard about the second job interview I had. I was offered the job :j I thanked them, then turned it down, but I'm so chuffed that I was offered it. 2 jobs interviews and 2 job offers. It has given me a real boost that I'm doing the right thing with this career change.

I have someone coming round later to look at the clothes I've put up for sale. Fingers crossed I manage to sell something!

The baby is back in bed for his second nap of the day. I've got a second load in the washing machine, but I am using the tumble dryer today. I'm washing all our towels, and always dry them in the tumble dryer!

I'll be picking ds1 up in about 3 1/2 hours. I've spent all day thinking about him. I think cleaning has been a good plan to keep my mind a little occupied! I still need to attack the toys though!!

I've ordered a new cheque book (I hadn't used one for years, and now use one for a few different things (mainly ds1 - school dinner, club, afterschool club!). I've also cancelled my dbs automatic update service as I won't be needing that anymore (saves £13 a year).

Someone was supposed to be here around 3 to look at the clothes. It's now 3:40 and no sign. So annoying. They live in the same village as me, just the other side so it's not like they've had far to come/got lost. I'm not giving up hope quite yet, though.

Ds2 down for his third nap of the day and the chicken is in the oven roasting. I've had a quick sort out of toys. There's still lots more to do, but on the surface it looks a lot better! I then cleaned the windows in the living room and the patio door. I'm not quite sure what's wrong with me today!!

Wow 3 naps! I can't get my toddler to take one! I also can't get him to sleep at night either tho, I'm not convinced he's my child cause I love sleep lol.

Hope the lady turns up! how annoying!

Ds2 has been an excellent sleeper from the start. Ds1 would limit day naps to 45 minutes. I could actually set a watch by him, ds2 though, he can sleep!!

Lady didn't turn up. She's sent me a message saying an emergency arose, she didn't have her phone and is calling by tomorrow morning. Nice and early! Fingers crossed she turns up, and also buys the clothes!!

I've changed some Tesco vouchers to days out this evening. I hadn't realised that the most recent vouchers were through. I still had quite a few left from the last lot. Definitely nothing to complain about though. I've ordered them for 2 separate days out. It cost me £5 in vouchers. 1 day out will be free, the other will be £2-£3. :j I need to make the most of these holidays before I head back to work.

I've [STRIKE]stupidly[/STRIKE] said that I'm going running tomorrow morning. Early. Before Dh goes to work  I figured early was better because no one would see me :rotfl: I'll have to be done, home and showered by the time Dh goes to work. I'm then going to make ds1's thank you cards with him (after clothes lady has been!!). I've also promised baking.

It's 8am and I've been for a run, had a shower, eaten breakfast, put a load of washing on and sorted out the day's first argument between a 4 year old and an 8 month old!! The clothes lady is meant to be coming at 9 (we'll see!).

    Today's plans:
    • Make thank you cards with ds1,
    • Make biscuits with ds1,
    • Clean and vacuum the hallway, stairs and landing,
    • Check YNAB and bank accounts,
    • Try on new trousers that I collected on Tuesday.

Will leave the thank you cards and baking until after clothes lady has been. Guaranteed if I didn't, I'd get either paint or flour on the clothes :rotfl: I may start with the cleaning.

    Clothes lady has been :j

£40 made this morning. £10 of that is going to ds1. He's going on a trip with club in a couple of weeks, which costs £10 so that's paid for. The other £30 is going towards our night away at the end of the month. We've now got £146.27 for this night away. The hotel has been paid for, we just need money for lunch and dinner on day 1, then breakfast, lunch and dinner on day 2. We've probably got enough now, but if I can add more to it, then that would be great. Any change then can go towards the loan. I may as well try and pay down as muc has I can beforehand the money comes through to save as much as possible on interest!

I've started making the thank you cards with ds1. I say 'with' what I mean is I've done everything I need to do before he sorts his bits out!
