Hangovers are so painful, trying to get rid of them for life.
2017- 5 credit cards plus loan
Overdraft And 1 credit card paid off.

    2018 plans - reduce debt
  • I'm not sure how to quote from previous posts.....but.....

Manan - I agree that it's about changing habits. I was in some terrible habits where I used to live for various reasons and I'm beginning to realise that I don't need to bring these habits with me now I've moved.
Bombay Sapphire distillery is great - I did the non-alcoholic option there and got the take home gin pack :j

I've not had an AF night tonight - I've been unpacking boxes and sorting through stuff all day and wanted wine this evening.

I've started a new record system / progress report by using a blank 100 square and writing the date in each box. If I pay approx £5 a bottle for wine, then every line I complete means I've saved about £50 :j:j
Tonight is 9 / 26 please Shaggy and I'm aiming to get back to AF for the rest of the week

Thank you for all your support,
    SW xxxx
  • Hi Stitchy Witchy, I like your 100 square idea.

To quote one person is easy, you click on the quote button, edit it down to a reasonable amount of their post not all of it and then write what you want below. Just make sure you leave the first and last words alone that say
    or similar.

Good grief I made that sound harder than it is! I won't attempt to explain multi-quotes without more caffeine!

8/18 for me today please Shaggy.

I like the square idea too. Thanks stitchywitchy.:)

For multiquotes (I think you can do up to three), just click on the speech bubble underneath and a tick will appear. When you click on Quote all the 'ticked' quotes will be in the reply box and you can edit them as you wish BUT as wbf said, when editing, don't interfere with the words and brackets at either end of the quotes or it won't work.

    No drinking planned for today.

    9 AFDs please Shaggy.

I haven't been on here in a while, but it's not because I've fallen by the wayside (for once).

I did 9/10 for July which was okay.

And already for August, I am up to 8. I haven't got a target in mind for August, I am just going to go with it.

My kids have been away for three weeks and this is usually an excuse for me to just sit at home at drink a bottle of wine of an evening, but I haven't and every time I haven't, I have been hugely chuffed with myself.

I was determined not to lose the plot while they were away and although the weekends haven't been great, I have been a lot lot better than previous years.

I'm also 5:2, not just for the weight loss reasons, but because it stops me drinking so much. I can't drink on fast days and I don't want to drink the day before a fast day as who wants the munchies when they can't eat?!

So this seems to be helping me get AFD 4 days a week. Yay!
Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
    Mortgages (End 2017) - £180,235.03
    (End 2021) - £131,215.25 DID IT!!!
    (End 2022) - Target £116,213.81
  • OK, so we're half way through the month and I have reached a miniscule 5/15. I have some serious work to do in the second half of this month!

Hoping to do an AFD today, but the way the day is going I think it will be hard. I am having a very rough time at work at the moment.
What goes around comes around.....I hope!

Managed 8/15 for Monday but not tonight. Back on an AFD tomorrow - I must try to achieve that. Very bad day at work but that isn't a great excuse and it's an excuse I make to myself far too frequently. Hope others are being successful
