Keep an eye on your Junk mail folder too. Most of Eversmarts emails come into my Inbox, but one recently want to Junk.
Maybe my PC is learning to hate them too!0 -
Had a voicemail earlier after missed call - was automated call from ‘Eversmart Family Saver Club Team’ saying they were calling to speak to me about my account and asking me to call them back. I assume it’s something they are doing for all customers to try and get them to take up that new family saver club tariff. Has anyone else had the call/voicemail?0

I had an email "inviting" me to join the Family Saver Club, after which I called them to check for details. The representative tried his best to convince me to join up, while conveniently dismissing the fact that I was already on a cheaper fixed price tariff with them saying that it would go up anyway. The conversation ended with me telling him to either email me or send me a letter in the post explaining why and how a fixed price tariff can change mid-way through the contract. I think that is what people should insist on - written communication, rather than information over a phone call if they try to change a fixed term tariff.0 -

I agree but I had a complaint case open with them and they eventually sent me an email saying 'case closed'. No other information. I complained again and now they seem to be ignoring me.0 -

This should be a good enough reason for you to contact Ofgem. Ofgem only entertain complaints from consumers after you have "tried" to resolve your issue with the supplier in the first instance.0 -

For clarity, Ofgem do not investigate or resolve individual complaints. It is a requirement of a Supply Licence holder that they sign up to a resolution service - Energy Ombudsman Services. It is this organisation that will accept timed out or deadlocked complaints. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I am with them and my contract is until the 24 April 2019 and no way can they change this. Its a fixed contract. If you think they can you have obviously misunderstood what was being said to you.
Also I received the same email about their latest offering but it was left up to me if I wanted to change.0 -

It is Eversmart Energy who think that can somehow sneak out of the fixed-term contract, not me. And no - I have not misunderstood what they are saying. When I was on the phone with them, they stated :
1. That the Welcome Home tariff was actually a variable tariff, and it did not have "Fixed" in its name.
2. When I asked why it had a "rate guaranteed up to" date in it's welcome pack, I was told that it was a "mistake"
3. I was also told that they were increasing the prices due to the price rise in the energy market. I did argue that consumers sign up for a fixed-rate to protect themselves against precisely something like this, but to no avail.
So I have not jumped to some conclusion based on the invitation email that we all have received.
However, all of this is just I-said-He-said over the phone and unless I get something in the post or over email, I am not going to act on it. The date mentioned was 26 November which is less than 10 days away, so we should know soon - one way or another.0
